Job Description
We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.
The Director of Partner Narrative & Growth Marketing will serve as the strategic owner of SAP’s global to-partner story. This leader will shape how partners understand our vision, value, and growth priorities by defining and activating the “red thread” across Tier 1 partner events, executive engagements, and recruitment campaigns, ensuring consistency, clarity, and business impact.
This role is critical for not only the success of our Partner Driven strategy, but also owns an important collaboration point between marketing, executive communications, and partner strategy. The ideal candidate combines narrative excellence with visionary mindset, strong executive presence, and the ability to mobilize cross-functional teams around a unified story at key moments throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the global partner narrative and red thread across Tier 1 partner-facing events.
- Translate corporate, product, and growth strategies into compelling, partner-relevant storytelling.
- Ensure consistency and differentiation across regions, segments, and engagement moments.
- Lead executive alignment with Board Offices, Chief Partner Officer Office, and Office of the CMO on partner-facing narratives.
- Coordinate embargoed and pre-announcement messaging with priority partners in advance of major launches and milestones.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on partner communications strategy.
- Work closely with the Partner Identity Marketing Lead and Partner News/Communications teams to align social, PR, and external storytelling.
- Own the global partner recruitment marketing strategy, including recruitment narratives with long-term impact.
- Develop fresh, data-informed approaches to attract new partners in priority segments and regions.
- Establish clear governance, timelines, and quality standards for narrative development.
Qualifications & Experience
- 8+ years of experience in B2B marketing, partner marketing, communications, or storytelling roles, with increasing leadership responsibility.
- Proven experience leading global or multi-regional narrative, brand, or growth marketing initiatives.
- Strong executive communication skills and comfort engaging with senior leadership.
- Track record of leading complex initiatives in matrixed organizations.
