Job Description

Company Description

At SAP, you belong to a community that values leadership, collaboration, and shared purpose. You will help create an environment where people feel informed, connected, and respected. You embrace diverse perspectives, contribute to a culture of trust, and drive meaningful engagement that supports our collective success. This role emphasizes skills over direct experience, welcoming candidates who demonstrate the ability to lead, adapt, and innovate. Join us to shape the future of audience engagement!

Job Description

What you'll bring

You have deep expertise in government affairs and public policy, shaped by sustained engagement with political and regulatory institutions across the UK and Ireland. You've built trusted networks spanning ministers, senior civil servants, parliamentary bodies, and industry coalitions — and you know how to use them with precision. A demonstrated track record of advising executive leadership on policy risk and representing the government affairs function at the most senior levels of a global organization is essential.

What you'll build

You'll define and own SAP's government affairs strategy for the UK and Ireland, from agenda-setting through to execution. You'll place SAP's cloud and AI portfolio at the center of national digital policy conversations — driving public sector adoption, shaping data sovereignty positions, and protecting critical national infrastructure. You'll monitor political developments and flag emerging risks before they reach our customers. Counselling SAP's leadership team on regulatory risk, representing SAP before government bodies and parliamentary committees, and coordinating with counterparts on cross-border priorities are core to this role.

Where you belong

This team sits where technology meets governance — the point where policy becomes commercial reality. SAP is deeply embedded in the UK's digital economy — this team protects that position. You'll work directly with SAP's executive leadership to influence how entire UKI Government vertical develops. The work is complex, the access is real, and the outcomes are tangible. You'll help define how the UK and Ireland build their digital future.
