YOUR TEAM

In Brno, you will be part of the SAP Labs Network — research and development locations that build and improve SAP core products. With 20 labs in 17 countries, SAP Labs drive thought leadership globally as well as in their local ecosystems, allowing SAP to innovate, grow, and succeed. The Lab in Brno operates across major development areas including Globalization Services, S/4HANA Finance, and Application Innovation Services.

The GTS Localization team in Brno is responsible for developing and maintaining country-specific legal compliance solutions within SAP S/4HANA. We ensure that SAP's global customers remain compliant with local financial regulations, customs, export/import processes, and tax requirements across diverse geographies. You will join a growing, globally distributed team and contribute to localization features powered by modern cloud and AI technologies.

WHAT YOU'LL BUILD

• Own the full development lifecycle of S/4HANA Cloud and On-Premise localization functionality using OO ABAP, RAP, and CDS/VDM
• Develop and expose OData/REST services; deliver Fiori/UI5 interfaces for GTS localization features
• Apply AI-assisted engineering patterns to accelerate delivery and prototype AI-enabled solutions
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and international teams to translate requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions
• Champion clean-core principles, code quality, and automated quality gates (ATC, ABAP Unit, code reviews)

WHAT YOU BRING

Must-Have:

• Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience using any OOP language (Java, ABAP, Python); eagerness to learn OO ABAP
• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• Strong English communication skills for collaborating with global teams and customers
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset
• Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently while contributing to a global team
• Aware of: agentic engineering, agentic orchestration, cloud architecture, context engineering, and AI day-to-day practices

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with OO ABAP, RAP, and CDS/VDM; experience building services and extensions for S/4HANA Cloud
• Hands-on experience integrating AI tools with SAP systems (SAP AI Core, Generative AI Hub, BTP AI services, LLM providers)
• Knowledge of SAP GTS processes (customs, import/export), IDOCs, and public APIs
• Fiori/SAPUI5 design and implementation expertise; ABAP certification
