What you`ll do

As part of Enterprise Cloud Services, the Global Cloud Operation (GCO) team is SAP's Cloud Infrastructure provider and is responsible for running SAP’s backend technology including operations of state-of-the-art data centers around the globe. Enterprise Cloud Services - Global Cloud Operations unit acts in a shared services.

The Data Center Management unit within GCO is the shared service unit providing services within all SAP’s Data Centers: IMAC-D services, hardware maintenance, asset management, supplier coordination, Co-Location management.

The Data Center Engineer (DCE) will work within SAP’s Cloud Data Center Operations Team. The Data Center Engineer is part of a regional team (Data Center Management - DCM) and is overall responsible for a Data Center Location.

The Role:

The responsibilities for this position include the following:

- Interface and coordination to all external Service Providers/Vendors for Data Center Operations

- Responsibility for IMAC-D services & processes

- Goods Receipt handling

- Data Center Capacity Management

- Support of hardware maintenance activities

- Data Center Inventory Management / Asset Management

- Data Center access management / Access control

- Data quality & reporting

- Ticket handling in our Tool ServiceNow

What you bring

- Minimum of 3 years experience in Data Center Operations

- Technical knowledge in Compute, Network, Storage hardware

- Experience in handling ticketing systems

- Advanced knowledge of Data Center Equipment

- Advanced knowledge in hardware maintenance

- Good knowledge in Co Location Management

- Familiar with coordination of IMAC-D processes

- Organizational and analytical skills

- Excellent written communication skills in English

Meet your team

The DCM Europe team contains around 25 people spread across 9 locations in Europe.

This role will be located in St.Leon Rot, Germany, in the biggest DC of SAP.
