PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Controlling Specialist to join Global Licensing & Royalty Management in GFS (GFS GL&RM). We are looking for a proactive, curious, and collaborative professional to join a newly formed Incubation Team within the Global Controlling organization. This team will play a key role in overseeing end-to-end financial processes related to third-party royalties, supporting effective cost management, forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, and internal controls.

This is a unique opportunity to help shape and build a team from the ground up, working closely with key stakeholders across SFP, FP&A, Field Comp CoE, CS Controlling, CPIT, and others. The team will operate as a center of excellence, leveraging newly developed tools and best practices to deliver insights and ensure transparency and efficiency in royalty-related spend.

You’ll be joining a high-impact group with strong exposure to cross-functional and international collaboration.

What you'll do

  • Manage the end-to-end royalty analysis process for BAC, acting as the single point of contact for all royalty-related topics.
  • Own, support, and promote the use of the next-generation Budget & Forecast reporting tools in ISP and BWP across the Controlling community.
  • Support License Sales Commissions budget planning, forecasting, and related analysis, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
  • Analyze actuals vs. plan, investigate variances, and prepare clear, executive-ready commentaries.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, Regional and Global Controlling Teams, to provide actionable insights and identify cost optimization opportunities.
  • Help reduce the risk of overpayments by implementing structured investigation approaches and maintaining constant focus within GLRM.
  • Conduct simulations and scenario modeling to support decision-making.
  • Maintain and improve expense reporting tools using SAP Analytics Cloud, ISP and BWP.
  • Drive continuous improvement in data quality, reporting efficiency, and automation.

What you bring

  • Strong analytical mindset and curiosity, with the ability to go beyond the numbers and understand the “why”.
  • Proactive problem-solver, comfortable working both independently and in virtual, cross-functional teams.
  • Solid skills in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivots, charts) and PowerPoint; excellent time management and ability to prioritize under pressure.
  • Experience or familiarity with SAP tools such as SAC, ISP, BWP, SAP CO/FI, or Business Warehouse (experience with at least one is required).
  • Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to translate financial data into business insights.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably with a focus on Finance or Controlling.
  • Previous experience in Controlling, FP&A, or Finance is highly valued.
