This role is based in the Netherlands because of customer proximity requirements and we can only consider candidates which will not require a relocation.

Role Summary


The Business and Solution Expert for SAP LOB Finance plays a pivotal role in driving the adoption and success of SAP’s Finance and GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) solutions within the Market Unit Benelux, with occasional support needed for the broader EMEA region. The main mission is to champion the solutions and support sales, strategy execution, and customer transformation, focusing on maximizing revenue and market share for SAP’s digital finance products.


Key Responsibilities:

    • Act as a trusted advisor and central point of expertise for SAP’s LOB Finance and GRC suite, leading discussions with internal and external stakeholders on financial strategy, data, and AI in finance;
    • Discover emerging trends in finance and GRC, define target markets, and develop solution strategies by leveraging business insights and collaborating closely with the global SAP LOB Finance team;
    • Support sales in driving and growing strategic digital transformation deals and present SAP’s Finance and GRC portfolio in customer meetings and public events, including large audiences;
    • Drive demand generation and orchestrate relevant marketing activities to align local execution with SAP’s broader strategy;
    • Enable and guide the SAP partner ecosystem to scale the impact of SAP’s Finance and GRC solutions;
    • Leverage best practices, tools, and methodologies available globally to optimize strategy and execution locally;
    • Identify needs for new customer processes and prioritize dormant accounts for activation.

Qualifications & Experience:

    • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in sales, pre-sales, business development, or consulting within the finance or GRC domains;
    • Detailed understanding of economic figures, company KPIs, and financial strategy discussions; ability to present and explain solutions at executive level;
    • Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional, international, and matrixed team environments;
    • Strong product knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and SAP GRC solutions (risk, compliance, cybersecurity, data privacy, fraud management) is advantageous;
    • Experience developing business and IT roadmaps and running executive workshops aligning diverse perspectives and expectations;
    • Proven analytical and structured self-management skills; exceptional influence and coaching abilities, especially with virtual teams.

Education and qualifications:

    • Executive communication skills (Dutch and English required);
    • Strong analytical skills and structured self-management;
    • Experience orchestrating execution of cross-functional and area virtual teams to achieve common goals;
    • Exceptional influence and impact skills and coaching (often virtual) teams;
    • Deep understanding of economic figures and company KPIs and ability to deal with financial figure and strategy discussions;
    • Deep business knowledge of target audiences.
