JOB OVERVIEW:
We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Commercial Finance Specialist to join our Global Commercial Finance team. In this role, you will support deal structuring, ensure policy compliance, and draft compliant contracts. You will collaborate with the sales team, finance, and stakeholders to drive financial performance and maintain the integrity. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to policy improvements and process automation initiatives.
ABOUT THE TEAM:
The Greater China Commercial Finance Team, part of Global Commercial Finance organization, is committed to support Customer Success organization for Cloud and On-Prem solutions, delivering end-to-end Commercial Services, to ensure that our customer success is sustained for the long term through high quality, profitable and compliant commercial contracts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Deal Structuring & Approval process:
§ Support Sales teams with with deal structuring, quote validation, and approvals.
§ Serve as main point of contact for Commercial topics to business team and advise on pricing and commercial standards.
§ Provide guidance on holistic deal structuring across all LOBs and be able to anticipate subsequent questions and problematic topics.
§ Verify all deals to ensure compliance with financial, legal, and revenue recognition standards.
§ Be an active change agent in the Global Commercial Finance Transformation Initiatives and initiate ideas for improving policies and automating processes.
2. Contract Drafting:
§ Draft and review commercial contracts to ensure terms align with deal approvals.
§ Incorporate commercial clauses and other relevant provisions into contracts, ensuring clarity and alignment with company objectives and relevant deal approvals.
§ Work with legal teams to address and mitigate all contract-related issues.
3. Stakeholder Collaboration:
§ Liaise between sales, finance, legal, and other departments to streamline deals.
§ Maintain open and clear communication with all stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding throughout the deal lifecycle.
§ Provide training and guidance to sales and other teams on financial and compliance-related aspects of deal structuring and commercial clauses.
QUARLIFICATIONS:
§ Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, law, or a related field; advanced degree or certification preferred.
§ Experience: 3+ years in commercial finance and operation roles with proven performance track record.
SKILLS:
1. Technical Skills:
§ Experience in contract drafting and basic negotiation.
§ Solid understanding of compliance standards and financial policies.
§ Strong ability to gather and reorganize information effectively from multiple resources.
2. Personal and Soft Skills:
§ Eye for detail.
§ Logical thinking and confident communication
§ High level of integrity and professionalism.
§ Ability to manage stress effectively in a fast-paced environment.
§ Curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning and personal development.
§ Good team player and strong willingness to help on problem solving.
3. IT Skills:
§ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and ERP systems.
§ Interest in AI tools and strong organizational abilities.
4. Languages: Mandatory fluency in Chinese and English.
