What you’ll do

As a member of the SAP Build Apps Cloud Infra team, you will be developing and maintaining our

Kubernetes based multi-cloud infrastructure.

Your contribution would involve automation, high availability, monitoring and maintenance. You'd contribute with Go, shell scripts, Kubernetes manifests and by all sorts of cloud tinkering.

Our team works closely with application development teams in Helsinki, and we support teams in USA, Singapore and Beijing. Our daily work consists of operations (maintaining what's already running) and development (software is never finished).

What you bring

We are looking for an experienced backend and infrastructure engineer to join our Cloud Infra team.

Programming experience is necessary. However, a problem solving mindset is more important than languages you have previously worked with.

• We expect you to have background with Typescript, Kubernetes, Cloud, Containers, Automation and Software Development or System Administration.

• We value programming experience with Go, Node.js and shell scripting.

• Fluency in English is expected, both verbally and in writing.

Meet your team

Our Cloud Infra team (~6 members) is building the enterprise compliant infrastructure of SAP Build Apps. We are eager to learn new things and to share our knowledge with others. We are looking for a new team member who is willing to learn and to teach others.

Our communication style is asynchronous discussion in Slack flavored with emoji. We value pair coding with a screenshare and direct feedback in pull request reviews. We are not fans of endless meetings, but we recognize the need for a sync every now and then.
