At SAP, we enable you to bring out your best. Our company culture is focused on collaboration and a shared passion to help the world run better. How? We focus every day on building the foundation for tomorrow and creating a workplace that embraces differences, values flexibility, and is aligned to our purpose-driven and future-focused work. We offer a highly collaborative, caring team environment with a strong focus on learning and development, recognition for your individual contributions, and a variety of benefit options for you to choose from.

What you’ll do:

  • Monitor application performance using APM tools (e.g., Dynatrace), identifying potential issues and optimizing system resources.
  • Analyze application performance data to identify CPU, memory, and resource allocation inefficiencies and suggest improvements.
  • Collaborate with development and cloud operations teams to resolve performance bottlenecks and ensure optimal application health.
  • Manage and configure dashboards to provide real-time insights into system performance and health.
  • Proactively address and resolve performance issues before they impact end-users, including responding to alerts and incidents.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize services, including application and infrastructure tuning.
  • Work closely with teams to ensure the successful integration of performance monitoring into development pipelines.
  • Create and maintain documentation for application performance issues, resolutions, and best practices.

What you bring:

  • Proven experience with Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools like Dynatrace, New Relic, or AppDynamics.
  • Strong understanding of application architecture, cloud environments, and system performance tuning.
  • Ability to analyze performance metrics and optimize resources (CPU, memory, etc.) in cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Experience in diagnosing and resolving application performance issues.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and how APM fits into the development lifecycle.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on proactive performance management.
  • Strong collaboration skills, able to work across multiple teams (development, operations, and cloud teams).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a cloud-native environment (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Understanding of containerization and microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization.
  • Experience working in large-scale, multi-tenant environments.
