Role Purpose:
The Finance Operations Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate valuation and pricing within financial data, systems and processes. The role focuses on data correctness, consistency and collaboration with cross‑functional departments to ensure reliable financial information.
Role Description:
The Finance Operations Specialist supports operational finance activities by ensuring correct representation of financial and master data across systems. The role works closely with internal stakeholders to maintain data quality and contributes to the implementation and optimization of finance‑related processes and methodologies.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Data Valuation & Accuracy
• Ensure accurate valuation and pricing within financial data, systems and processes
• Ensure correctness and consistency of relevant master data and financial information
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
• Close collaboration with cross‑functional departments (e.g. Purchasing, Production and Finance)
• Ensure the correct representation of material master data across system
Process & System Support
• Contribute to the implementation and optimization of new processes, methodologies and systems
• Support the development and refinement of internal guidelines, policies and best practices
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or a related field
Experience:
• +2 years of relevant experience in finance
• Experience in finance‑related operational activities with a focus on data accuracy and valuation
• Experience working with financial data, master data and related systems
• Experience in finance operations or shared service environments is an advantage.
• Practical exposure to Group Reporting, closing processes, and master data governance.
• Experience in a cross‑functional environment (e.g. Purchasing, Production, Finance)
Skills & Competencies:
• Foundational knowledge of finance and data valuation principles
• Strong analytical thinking and a structured way of working
• Affinity for SAP systems and data management
• Ability to ensure correctness and consistency of financial and master data
• Strong communication skills
• Strong teamwork skills
Problem solving:
• Ability to identify inaccuracies and inconsistencies in financial and master data
• Structured approach to analysing data quality issues and ensuring correct representation in systems
Leadership:
• Takes responsibility for accuracy and quality of assigned finance data and tasks
• Contributes to the implementation and optimization of processes, methodologies and systems within the defined role scope
Interpersonal skills:
• Close and cooperative collaboration with cross‑functional departments such as Purchasing, Production and Finance
• Clear and professional communication in day‑to‑day operational finance topics
• Team‑oriented working style within an operational and process‑driven finance environment.
