Role overview:
As a Design Engineering Intern, you’ll be responsible for creating design definitions that meet system requirements and product attributes for new product designs. You’ll exhibit technical knowledge in design with an understanding of manufacturing engineering and product definition. In this role, you’ll review design definition concepts, complete design reviews and work with Manufacturing and Supply Chain to deliver products.
What you’ll be doing:
Delivering design solutions for components that address component requirements
Performing engineering activities that include the following: mechanical design, analysis, hand calculations, tolerance stacks, presenting technical data and participating in technical discussions with manufacturing engineering
Executing validation plans and show component compliance to requirements
Supporting creation of detailed component definition (drawings) and support manufacturing to produce conforming hardware and/or disposition non-conforming hardware
Who we’re looking for:
Working towards a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Material Science, Software Engineering and/or related degree
A strong passion for the future of technology
A willingness to work flexibly and travel between locations: in most cases, you’ll be able to meet the requirements in the location you are recruited to, however, we may need you to be flexible and travel between sites during or for your internship n open-minded, curious, and agile approach to work and career development

Minimum GPA: 3.0
Work authorization eligibility: To be considered, you must also be a U.S. Citizen.
