Location: Cambridge

In-office expectation: One day per week on average

Employment type: Permanent

Salary: £45-£55,000

Why this role exists

As Redgate grows, so does the scrutiny our customers place on how we handle their data, and our need to have the same confidence in our suppliers.

This role exists to drive the assurance process, giving customers confidence in Redgate, and ensuring our supply chain lives up to our expectations of security.

About Redgate

Redgate brings together people who want to do their best work in an environment built on trust, accountability, and collaboration.

We build solutions that help data professionals securely manage the data and databases that their organizations depend on, a space that's only becoming more critical as systems scale, data regulations increase, and AI adoption accelerates.

AI at Redgate

By 2028, Redgate will operate as an expert-plus-agent company, domain experts amplified by AI, delivering customer value at a pace our peers can't match.

AI handles the heavy lifting. Our people control the judgement. Everyone at Redgate works with Claude, giving you access to the best AI tools from day one.

Why join our Security team?

● You'll join a team that values thoroughness, collaboration, and building genuine trust with our partners both within the company and externally.

● There's a clear pathway to grow your technical security skills, with structured mentoring from our Security and Technical Operations teams.

● We value sustainable ways of working, giving you the time to build strong processes rather than just clearing the backlog.

About the role

This role places you at the centre of Redgate's customer and vendor security assurance, from completing detailed security questionnaires to leading due diligence on potential suppliers. You'll build the evidence base and relationships that let customers trust how we handle their data, while developing your technical expertise in both our products and infrastructure over time.

● You'll cover the full lifecycle of customer security questionnaires and vendor due diligence, working directly with Sales, Product, Procurement and Legal.

● There's scope to shape how assurance work gets done, including building a central repository of responses and evidence that speeds up future reviews.

● You'll work closely with the Security Manager and Cyber Security Engineer, with a structured route towards more technical security responsibilities such as integration and API reviews.

● This is a role where your judgement on vendor risk directly influences decisions made by Procurement, Legal, and the wider business.

What makes you a great fit

● Experience in a security, compliance, vendor risk, or customer assurance role, or a closely related analytical or customer-facing role with a genuine interest in cybersecurity.

● Experience completing or coordinating customer security questionnaires (such as SIG, CAIQ, or VSAQ) or equivalent structured assessments, or clear evidence you could pick this up quickly.

● Working knowledge of at least one information security or privacy framework, such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, or GDPR.

● Ability to translate how a product works in security requirements and risks.

● Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain security concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.

● Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines and form sound risk judgements from supplier documentation.

What we offer

Salary range: £45-£55,000

● Hybrid working: home and Cambridge office.

● Monthly wellbeing allowance and generous paid time off.

● Genuine investment in learning, development, and career progression.

● Private health insurance.
