Job Description

What do we do?

Paddle offers SaaS companies a completely different approach to their payments infrastructure. Instead of assembling and maintaining a complex stack of payments-related apps and services, we’re a Merchant of Record for our customers. That means we take away 100% of the pain of payments fragmentation. It’s faster, safer, cheaper, and, above all, way better.

We’re backed by investors including KKR, FTV Capital, Kindred, Notion, and 83North and serve over 3000 software sellers in 245 territories globally.

The role:

We’re looking for a Senior Product Analyst to join our Product Team. In this role you will use your analytical skills to support product discovery, decision-making / prioritisation and monitor key metrics. This will include building data pipelines, generating data insights and building reports. The work will require significant interaction with different teams but mainly with Product & Engineering and other analysts across the business. You’re someone who’s commercially minded, has a can-do attitude and good technical skills. You’ll play a key role in driving a data-driven culture across Paddle!

What you'll do:

  • Partner with Product & broader cross-functional teams to surface data that helps drive product thinking, problem validation & customer understanding.

  • Define key product metrics, create dashboards & perform analyses to measure product & feature performance.

  • Build out data tooling for the Product teams, enabling them to become more data driven in their day-to-day work.

  • Drive customer intelligence through the development of external and internal data sources that improve our understanding of the market, competitor activities, and consumer trends.

  • Work with Engineering and other Data functions within Paddle to ensure Product has access to data that can inform product thinking.

We'd love to hear from you if:

  • You have experience in a Product Analyst or similar role, with a proven track record of delivering actionable insights & improving product performance.

  • You know how to work with complex databases and can write queries using SQL.

  • You’re familiar with BI and data visualisation tools like Sisense (formerly Periscope), Looker or Tableau, and know how to best present data for maximum effect.

  • Have experience performing ad-hoc analysis in Excel or Google Sheets, and are familiar with scripting languages such as Python.

  • You have good interpersonal and communication skills, and are comfortable working cross-functionally. You are enthusiastic & self-motivated.

  • Ideally have knowledge of web analytics, A/B and multivariate testing and familiarity with platforms such as Google Analytics.

Everyone is welcome at Paddle

At Paddle, we’re committed to removing invisible barriers, both for our customers and within our own teams. We recognise and celebrate that every Paddler is unique and we welcome every individual perspective. As an inclusive employer we don’t care if, or where, you studied, what you look like or where you’re from. We’re more interested in your craft, curiosity, passion for learning and what you’ll add to our culture. We encourage you to apply even if you don’t match every part of the job ad, especially if you’re part of an underrepresented group.

Please let us know if there’s anything we can do to better support you through the application process and in the workplace. We will do everything we can to support any accommodations needed. We’re committed to building a diverse team where everyone feels safe to be their authentic self. Let’s grow together.
