Where you’ll work:

All our roles are hub based (Bristol, Glasgow or London), providing a dedicated space for collaboration, connection and teamwork. You’ll also have the flexibility to work from home.

Our preference is that your hub would be London, due to the Head of Reward primarily working from this hub. The OVO Way of Flexibility suggests 1+ days in the office per week.

As a member of the People team you will be the custodian of People data and work with the whole People team to own the creation and delivery of the People Analytics strategy and roadmap. This will include developing business processes via PowerBI/LookML and Workday to enhance the Metrics and Insight offering for People Data to make a difference to the business.

This role in a nutshell:

Your main responsibilities will be working within the Reward Team to deliver Analytics and Insights on Reward and People data, alongside identifying and making recommendations on how to improve data integrity.


Your key outcomes will be:

  • Working within the Reward Team to service the wider People Leadership Team in the development and refining of PowerBI/LookML dashboards as per business requirements, allowing members to self-serve for their data and MI needs
  • Provide project and analytical support to the Reward leads with cyclical & ad hoc projects, including but not limited to the Annual Pay and Bonus Reviews, Benefits Annual Window, Pension Re-enrolment, Pay Gap Reports and Equal Pay audits
  • Deliver the People Analytics strategy and roadmap, prioritising workloads and requirements from the whole People team to support the business and deliver on ad-hoc, regular and legislative reporting whilst adhering to GDPR regulations and guidelines
  • Lead on data governance, audits and cleanses to ensure the integrity of the data feeding into the annual reward processes and dashboards, identifying and improving any areas for concern
  • Undertake BAU reporting using PowerBI/LookML and Workday as the primary reporting tools whilst maintaining the Workday reporting suite
  • Ability to support Workday reporting, dashboards and workbooks, ensuring Workday releases and upgrades are deployed successfully and supporting the config teams with UAT testing and audit requirements
  • Processing of benefits tasks related to the monthly benefit/pension cycle, payroll reporting, opening of selection windows, external provider processing & reporting.
  • Maintaining the content on our flexible benefit platform (Darwin) in line with feedback internally and policy changes externally.
  • The champion of OVO’s new joiner onboarding events from a benefit & wellbeing perspective.
  • Supporting our people & People Services teams with front line queries raised through AskOVO.
  • Support the reward leads with job evaluation, salary survey submissions (WTW, Radford and adhoc pulse surveys) and comms and engagement for cyclical reward activities.
  • Proactively build relationships and positivity with others, working effectively to achieve the best outcome ensuring the needs and perspectives of others are considered

You’ll be a successful in this role at OVO if you…

Have a great track record and balance of skills across systems & technical and personal & communications.

Systems & Technical:

  • Strong capabilities in PowerBI/LookML with ability to build and update dashboards
  • Experience in HR business areas, particularly as a Reward Analyst with salary benchmarking experience and pay gap reporting experience
  • Experience in People Analytics and complex reporting and insights delivery
  • Experience in Workday report writing, dashboards, workbooks and Workday HCM
  • Good understanding of Calculated Fields and Security in Workday
  • Experience with Darwin Benefits platform is preferable
  • Experience with Data Mapping activities between various systems
  • Experience working with other HR systems (Learning Management etc)
  • IT & IT Systems literate (Google Suite, Microsoft)

We’ll pay you between £50,000 and £60,000, depending on your specific skills and experience. If your expectations are a little different, have a chat with us!
