Our team is responsible for designing and delivering a proactive, progressive engagement strategy to help us become the leading place to work for people who want to change the world.

This role in a nutshell:

You’ll be the architect of our internal communication ecosystem - looking not just at the "what," but also the "how," ensuring our messages are delivered through the most effective channels and designed to capture hearts and minds. You’ll help drive engagement and alignment behind OVO’s strategic business priorities by creating visual clarity and seamless delivery across our internal communications channels.

Your key outcomes will be:

  • Channel Strategy & Management: Owning the roadmap for our internal channels, conducting regular reviews to ensure they drive maximum engagement across, office, frontline and home-based roles.
  • Creative Design Leadership: Leading the visual identity of our internal campaigns - from digital signage on Canva to high-impact campaign assets that make our story compelling.
  • Delivery Excellence: Managing the "always-on" content calendar, ensuring that engagement programmes are delivered on time and tailored for hard-to-reach audiences.
  • Two-Way Engagement: Horizon scanning for the latest trends to enable two-way conversation and driving engagement in a fast-paced environment.
  • Stakeholder Partnering: Providing design and channel consultancy to senior leaders, helping them translate complex messages into simplified, engaging visual narratives.
  • Crisis management and deputising for the People Engagement Lead: Reacting quickly to give our people and customers the right information at the right time

You’ll be a successful Internal Communications and Engagement Manager here at OVO if you…

  • Have solid experience in Internal Communications, specifically within channel management and content delivery.
  • Are a creative storyteller with a proven track record of using design to simplify complex information.
  • Are highly organised and adept at juggling multiple projects, platforms, and stakeholders in a complex business.
  • Have experience of working with remote or hard-to-reach teams, tailoring delivery methods to suit different audience needs.
  • Are a self-starter who thrives at pace and is comfortable "rolling up your sleeves" to get stuck in with delivery.

We’ll pay you between £42500 and £50000, depending on your specific skills and experience. If your expectations are a little different, have a chat with us!

You’ll be eligible for an on-target bonus of 15%. We have one OVO bonus plan that focuses on the collective performance of our people to deliver our Plan Zero goal.
