About the role
As a Finance Data and Insights Consultant at NFU Mutual, you’ll play a key role in supporting finance partnering, planning and performance insights across the organisation. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll turn complex data into clear, meaningful insights that influence business decisions and future strategy.
You’ll be part of a growing finance team, helping to evolve how data is used across the function. This includes supporting the transition to new data platforms, building automated reporting solutions, and contributing to process improvement initiatives. You’ll also work collaboratively with finance teams to improve how data and automation are understood and used day to day.
The role brings a strong mix of hands-on data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement. You’ll design and develop models to forecast future performance, provide regular insight on business activity, and support planning and reforecasting processes. Alongside this, you’ll coach and support colleagues, helping to build capability across the team.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract based at NFU Mutual’s Head Office in Stratford upon Avon. We offer hybrid working, typically around 80% homeworking.
About you
You are an experienced data and insights professional with a strong track record of delivering meaningful analysis that supports commercial decision making. You confidently work with a range of stakeholders, using your communication skills to explain complex information in a clear and practical way.
To join NFU Mutual, you’ll also bring
- Strong experience of data analysis and delivering data driven insight using tools such as SQL or Python and Power BI (other similar tools such as Tableau will be considered)
- Proven ability to build reporting solutions and develop models to support forecasting and performance analysis
- Experience influencing and engaging stakeholders, including explaining complex data to both financial and non financial audiences
- Strong understanding of data sources and the ability to gather and interpret information to generate commercial insight
- Experience of coaching or supporting colleagues, alongside a focus on continuous improvement
- Experience of Azure, Power Apps and Power Automate is desirable but not essential.
