The Senior Technical Curriculum Lead for Data Operations (DataOps) is responsible for creating the world class global product set within our DataOps domain. They partner with subject matter experts and learning designers to develop the training needed for today and tomorrows most in demand roles. They are not shy about their passion for DataOps skill areas such as data management, data infrastructure, data engineering, data analytics and data automation and how DataOps continues to evolve and develop as a set of practices. As they become the deep market expert in business needs, they will also be excited about the opportunity this provides to deepen their own knowledge in the space.

More practically, they own the existing products that sit within this area (our Data Insights for Business Decisions; Strategic Analytics; Data Engineering programs) and will continue to prioritise the development of products within the DataOps domain. They work with our Product Marketing teams to develop short, medium and long term recommendations for the roadmap, understand where content partnerships or subject matter experts will increase the velocity and quality of products, improve performance of the current programs and work with cross-functional stakeholders to operationalize new products and updates. They are the product owner and should utilize other teams’ expertise in the business to develop the right delivery models, marketing messaging, technology features and content to meet the needs of both role specific and business impact requirements. As we release both synchronous and blended learning models, they will be vital in quality assuring both the content and the training developed and for supporting our Go to Market partners with any major client calls that require technical expertise.

The Senior Technical Curriculum Leads work under the direction of a Director of Technical Curriculum and will sit within a broad team of Technical Curriculum Leads. Their performance will be measured against: growth of market share within their domain and quality/effectiveness of product.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Domain Strategy

  • Conducts horizon-scanning techniques to monitor the client landscape to ensure ongoing program market fit

  • Conducts short-cycles of market demand, target customer, target apprentice, and works with finance on financial modeling of new subject expansion areas within domain expertise area to quickly move on launching new offerings

  • Works with Learning Designers to develop proposals and high-level structures of new programs to determine Multiverse fit and opportunity

  • Scans the market for relevant 3rd party content partnerships to support expansion of offering

  • Stays informed on the space through ongoing research and participation in relevant events to ensure the product remains industry-aligned

  • Works with the Senior Manager/Director of their domain to develop and scope SME or contractor resource requests

Product Evaluation and Iteration

  • Develop and refine short, medium and long term curriculum strategy within the DataOps domain

  • Monitors and evaluates product performance inclusive of: internal and external metrics, client and apprentice feedback, and product feedback to surface insights and improvement areas. Works with designers to implement appropriate solutions. Track associated with our domain-level modules/programs.

  • Works collaboratively with Project Leads to create feedback loops and communication plans with key stakeholders on new module launches and existing program improvements (i.e. CSM/Delivery/GTM/Launch)

  • Works collaboratively with our internal Tech team to scope, prioritise and test features which are vital to the success of their products

  • Works with Product Marketing to develop the understanding of learner personas and business problems solved by key program offerings.

  • TCLs organize retros on product launches, product metrics and working with internal stakeholders to determine next steps.

Client and Cross-functional Stakeholder Management

  • Works with a cross-functional team to bring a product or product updates to market effectively

  • Manages change by ensuring stakeholder buy-in and alignment to changes to the product

  • Creates visibility for research and feedback by preparing documentation and presentations accessible by a wide range of stakeholders and teams

  • Serves as an internal and external expert for sales conversations

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven expertise in DataOps domain and a demonstrated fluency with the ability to rapidly research, analyse, and comprehend technical information about their domain

  • Experience executing product launches to bring new products to market

  • Customer discovery and presentation experience

  • Proficient in using internal and external data to drive recommendations

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong experience with cohort or online content creation and professional training

  • Experience of working within regulated structures such as the UK apprenticeship levy

  • A proven track record in technical education (higher education, instructor-led training, conference speaking, book publishing, and/or eLearning) with understanding of instructional design techniques and approaches
