Your career in detail

Our Melbourne office is searching for a Senior or Principal Hydraulic and Fire Services Engineer to join our Buildings Services team based in the CBD.

You’ll have the opportunity to work on new major building projects, in a growing team with an exciting culture. This will include the opportunity to work on our landmark projects, including the National Gallery of Victoria Contemporary and Defence projects.

To be successful in this position you will have experience in hydraulic and fire services engineering, within the Building Services industry. You will be part of an established engineering team, responsible for designing and delivering building hydraulic and fire services systems to meet our client and project expectations, from conceptual design through to construction completion.

This role will include the opportunity to further develop technical skills and client facing responsibilities across a range of project types with strong support from experienced team members.

Sound like you? We would love for you to bring

  • Relevant tertiary engineering qualifications.
  • 5+ years of experience demonstrated through roles at quality engineering consultants.
  • Registered & endorsed as a Professional Engineer (Vic) under the Victorian engineering registration scheme (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Experience delivering a range of project types, and strong technical knowledge of the NCC and Victorian building code framework.
  • Experience in applying Australian Standards across a range of systems, including water services, sanitary and roof drainage, fire hydrant, fire hose reel and fire sprinkler systems.
  • Knowledge and experience in the design of fire detection and alarm systems considered favourably.
  • Strong communication skills, able to work as a standout colleague and self-motivated.
  • Experienced in the preparation of calculations, concept sketches, reports, detailed designs including specifications and drawings.
  • Confirmation of Australian Citizenship
