The S4 Transformation Project Manager for MEU is responsible for the end-to-end delivery management of the S4 deployment within the MEU region. This pivotal role specifically drives the non-SAP applications workstream and manages the Toll Gate Methodology (TGM) deliverables and artifacts.

Key responsibilities also include the coordination in mapping critical brownfield business processes into Celonis. Supporting and maintaining the Integrated Project Plan. Risk management and supporting governance documentation

This role requires experience in managing and delivering complex, global, multi-phase SAP enterprise engagements. The successful candidate will leverage standard project management tools, skills, and methodologies, including Tollgate and Hybrid-Agile approaches. Combining advanced project management and stakeholder engagement skills with appropriate knowledge of enterprise applications, functionality, and solutions, this position is crucial for ensuring the successful delivery of high-impact, high-value projects across the MEU landscape.

How you will contribute

The S4 Project Manager (MEU) will play a critical role in driving the successful deployment of S4 within the MEU region by contributing in the following ways:

You will:

  • Project Leadership: Lead the end-to-end project deliverables for the MEU region within the S4 transformation program, with a specific focus on driving the non-SAP applications stream and TGM. Ensure alignment with overall business objectives, timelines, and technical requirements.

  • Project Planning: Support and maintain the Integrated Project plan

  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between Regional S4 (functional and MDS) Delivery teams, Global S4 workstreams, and partner teams. Drive clear communication, foster collaboration, and facilitate timely decisions and requirement gathering, particularly concerning non-SAP integrations and process mapping initiatives.

  • Team Management: Build and motivate effective project teams across internal and external partners, fostering a collaborative environment conducive to successful delivery.

  • Reporting & Governance: Establish and maintain robust governance frameworks and reporting mechanisms. This includes meticulous coordination of the tollgate methodology, ensuring all deliverables and artifacts are prepared, reviewed, and approved, to provide transparency and accountability on project progress throughout the S4 transformation process.

  • Risk Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the transformation project, including those specific to non-SAP application integration and TGM deliverables.

  • Strategic Thinking: Apply a strategic mindset with the ability to align project outcomes with organizational goals and adapt to evolving priorities, ensuring that the S4 transformation delivers maximum value to the MEU business.

  • Process Coordination: Coordinate the detailed mapping of critical brownfield business processes into Celonis, ensuring accuracy and completeness to support process optimization and monitoring post-go live.

  • Complex Program Delivery: The role is instrumental in navigating the complexities of a global, multi-phase SAP enterprise engagement, demanding a blend of advanced project management, technical understanding, and stakeholder management to deliver high-impact, high-value outcomes for the MEU business.

  • Accelerated Digital Transformation: By expertly managing the technical and functional aspects of the S4 deployment and its non-SAP integrations, this role will significantly contribute to accelerating MDLZ's digital transformation journey in the MEU region.

What you need to know about this position:

Main responsibilities:

  • Drive overall project delivery using TGM, ensuring all project tollgates and milestones are met within timelines, managing deliverables/artifacts.

  • Manage the non-SAP application workstream, building and tracking co-ordinated plans and deliverables across cross-functional teams and external partners.

  • Support the development and maintenance of an Integrated Master Project plan, clearly mapping critical path deliverables and cross-workstream dependencies.

  • Proactively identify, manage, and communicate project risks, maintaining comprehensive tracking and reporting via JIRA.

  • Co-ordinate brownfield business process mapping into Celonis.

  • Represent project performance in BU/regional S4o9 governance forums.

  • Serve as the key liaison with the SAP DevOps team, facilitating information flow to and from the Project Team.

  • Track and report on scope change control and facilitate KDD development and presentations at Regional Alignment Forums.

  • Partner with MDS Test Management on test strategy, requirements traceability, and test script development for all testing phases (System, Integration, Regression, UAT, Performance).

  • Support the Regional PMO lead with financial tracking (SOWs, POs, Invoices) to safeguard delivery timelines.

  • Provide guidance and steer to project team members, clarifying expected outcomes and fostering capability.
