You'll be managing the end-to-end lifecycle of FM contracts post-award, ensuring contractual compliance, performance delivery, risk mitigation, and value realization throughout the contract term.
How you will contribute
You will:
- Manage a portfolio of FM contracts across hard and soft services, ensuring obligations are met by all parties
- Draft, negotiate, and finalize FM contract documentation including schedules, KPIs, SLAs, and payment mechanisms
- Monitor supplier performance against contractual KPIs and SLAs, conducting regular performance reviews
- Manage contract variations, extensions, novations, and terminations in accordance with governance procedures
- Identify and mitigate contractual risks, maintaining risk registers for all FM contracts
- Ensure compliance with contract terms, regulatory requirements, and health & safety legislation
- Manage dispute resolution processes and escalation procedures with FM suppliers
- Track contract milestones, expiry dates, and renewal timelines to ensure continuity of FM services
- Conduct regular contract review meetings with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Manage FM contract budgets, track spend against committed values, and process invoices/variations
- Maintain accurate contract records and documentation within contract management systems
- Support mobilization and demobilization of FM contracts

- Expertise in contract performance management and KPI frameworks
- Risk identification and mitigation capabilities
- Financial acumen for budget management and cost control
- Dispute resolution and negotiation skills
- Attention to detail and governance compliance
- Knowledge of FM contract structures (NEC, JCT, bespoke)
- Proficiency in contract management systems (e.g., Agiloft, Icertis, SAP Ariba)
Job specific requirements:
- Degree educated or equivalent professional qualification (CIPS, IACCM/WorldCC desirable)
- 5+ years’ experience in contract management, preferably within FM or built environment
- Demonstrable experience managing high-value, complex FM service contracts
- Understanding of FM legislation (H&S at Work Act, CDM Regulations, TUPE)
- Experience with contract mobilization and transition management
