As the Brand Manager for CLIF in the MEU region, you will be instrumental in driving market expansion, brand growth, equity development and strategic execution across Europe. This role is responsible for executing brand management of CLIF, ensuring consistent brand presence, effective campaign deployment, market-leading event activations and adherence to brand guidelines across diverse markets. You will oversee budget execution, lead critical brand activations, inform sponsorship strategy and ensure the CLIF brand thrives within its expansion territories.

How you will contribute

Market Expansion & Strategy:

  • Execute CLIF's market expansion strategy, collaborating closely with BU and distributor partners to deploy strategic priorities and accelerate growth.

  • Develop and implement core market expansion initiatives and campaign deployment plans across multiple markets, including multi-market consumer promotions

Brand Stewardship & Guidelines:

  • Act as the custodian of CLIF brand guidelines for the MEU region, ensuring all marketing activities, communications, and partner executions strictly adhere to brand standards and visual identity.

  • Lead the creation and adaptation of all brand assets for each market, ensuring they align with key visual (KV) guidelines and brand guardrails.

  • Own the execution toolkit, ensuring BU and distributor partners have tools for success. You will partner with Senior Brand Activation Manager to build winning customer plans

Budget Management:

  • Manage and execute the A&C budget for the CLIF brand in MEU, ensuring efficient allocation and optimal return on investment.

  • Manage and allocate trade marketing budgets per market, with a primary focus on Below-the-Line (BTL) activities and customer marketing initiatives, collaborating with BU on plans and opportunities.

  • Provide input into the annual planning process to ensure sufficiency and efficiency of customer marketing plans.

Brand Activation & Sponsorships:

  • Lead the activation and execution of strategic sponsorships and events, including high-profile partnerships such as the TCS London Marathon and BMW Berlin-Marathon, to enhance brand visibility and engagement.

  • Lead assessment and recommendation of new sponsorship opportunities and develop sponsorship roadmap across Vision 2030

Campaign Deployment & Performance:

  • Oversee the implementation of brand strategies into markets, influencing the development of distribution/channel/customer plans and execution of shelf space and category management activities.

Reporting & Tracking:

  • Lead monthly data analysis and market share tracking for the cross-functional, multi-market CLIF team.

  • Monitor and propose action plans to ensure price/promo competitiveness and successful new product launches (PPA launch).

  • Stakeholder & Distributor Collaboration:

  • Support BU with distributor and retailer engagement, fostering strong working relationships and ensuring effective communication.

  • Lead creation of Sales & Marketing Activation Plans

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Act as a key project team member for various marketing and commercial initiatives.

  • Collaborate closely with the BU team to provide accurate forecast inputs and track performance against established scorecards.

What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivelent in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in brand management, sponsorship and events and/or trade marketing, ideally within relevant industry, e.g., FMCG, CPG. Snack bar/functional nutrition experience highly favorable.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and drive in-market execution through distributors and/or retailers.

  • Strong project management skills and meticulous attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with sales and cross-functional teams.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
