About the RoleJoin Microsoft’s Datacenter QS & Cost Management team as an Apprentice and learn how to manage the financial side of large-scale construction projects. You’ll support sourcing strategies, contract negotiations, and cost analysis, ensuring projects deliver value while meeting compliance and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Support procurement requests and contract management for datacenter projects
- Assist in pricing negotiations and supplier onboarding
- Help define sourcing strategies and evaluate supplier performance
- Apply market intelligence to drive business impact and cost savings
- Ensure policy compliance and educate stakeholders on best practices
- Maintain quality, timeliness, and accuracy of deliverables
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones
Qualifications
- Interest in quantity surveying, procurement, and cost management
- Strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Detail-oriented and proactive approach
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently
- GCSEs (including Maths & English, grades 9–4) and A-levels/BTEC/T Level or equivalent by September 2026
