About the Role
Join Microsoft’s Datacenter Design & Construction team as an Apprentice and help shape the next generation of cloud infrastructure. You’ll learn how to plan, design, and deliver world-class datacenter projects, working alongside experts in architecture, engineering, and project management. This is a hands-on role where you’ll see your ideas come to life and make a real impact on how technology powers the world.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design and construction of datacenter projects from concept to completion
  • Assist in reviewing engineering documentation, site plans, and technical drawings
  • Organise project data, track progress, and help communicate updates to stakeholders
  • Participate in vendor and contractor meetings, advocating for safety and quality
  • Learn to apply compliance, regulatory, and sustainability standards in real-world projects
  • Contribute to cost management, scheduling, and risk assessment activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget


Qualifications

  • Passion for design, engineering, and technology
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • GCSEs (including Maths & English, grades 9–4) and A-levels/BTEC/T Level or equivalent by September 2026
