Finance Platforms Senior Systems Technical Analyst

Location: Basingstoke/Hybrid (open to remote)

Hours: 40 hours per week

Contract: Permanent - Salaried

The Finance Platforms Senior Systems Technical Analyst plays a crucial role in owning, designing, developing, and maintaining customizations and integrations within Oracle NetSuite to support finance and business operations. This role focuses on technical development using SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, and SuiteTalk, ensuring scalable, efficient solutions that align with business requirements. The developer will lead collaboration with finance teams, IT, and external partners to deliver robust ERP functionality and continuous improvements.

Responsibilities:

Design, Development & Customisation

• Own responsibility for the overall NetSuite integration environment and manage optimisation and improvements to the architecture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop custom scripts using SuiteScript 2.x for workflows, automation, and business logic.
• Build, document and maintain SuiteFlow workflows and SuiteTalk integrations with external systems.
• Configure and customize NetSuite modules to meet evolving business objectives.

System Integration

• Define the strategy for NetSuite integration both with up and downstream systems.
• Own, develop and manage integrations between NetSuite and other enterprise applications using REST/SOAP APIs.
• Ensure data integrity and seamless flow across systems.

Performance Optimisation

• Process Improvement: Conduct thorough analysis of current NetSuite processes and identify key areas for improvement.
• Monitor system performance and implement optimizations for scalability and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
• Collaborate with external consultants and vendors to implement new features and functionality.

Testing and Deployment

• Conduct unit, integration, and regression testing for all customizations.
• Support deployment processes and maintain version control.

Documentation

• Create and maintain technical documentation for scripts, workflows, and integrations.
• Provide knowledge transfer and training to internal teams on best practice, etc.

Qualifications & Experience

• 5–10 years of hands-on NetSuite development experience (SuiteScript 2.x, SuiteFlow, SuiteTalk).
• Experience with JavaScript, REST/SOAP APIs, and web services.
• Knowledge of Finance teams, financial processes and ERP best practices.
• Relevant certifications (NetSuite SuiteFoundation, SuiteCloud Developer) preferred.
