Senior Growth AI Tooling Lead

Location: London, Arbor

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent, salaried

We are recruiting for a Senior Growth AI Tooling Lead to join our Global Insights & Strategy team.

As our Senior Growth AI Tooling Lead, you’ll be the driving force behind creating AI-powered tools and models that transform how we make decisions and deliver growth across our global attractions portfolio. You will take complex business challenges and turn them into practical, scalable AI solutions that empower teams to act with confidence.

The Senior Growth AI Tooling Lead will explore data and tools to find the best approach to develop custom AI and LLM models that deliver real impact. You will ensure these solutions are not only technically robust but also easy for non-technical users to adopt, providing training and guidance to make AI accessible across the organisation.

You will work closely with growth teams, technology partners, and wider Merlin stakeholders to integrate AI into operational systems and drive adoption. You’ll stay ahead of industry trends, continuously innovating and applying best practices to keep us at the cutting edge of AI and data science. Along the way, you will champion ethical standards, data privacy, and responsible AI practices, ensuring everything we do is compliant, ethical and trustworthy.

The Senior Growth AI Tooling Lead is a role for someone who loves solving complex problems, thrives on innovation, and wants to see their work make a tangible difference in a global business.

Qualifications & Experience

• A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
• Previous experience working in data science or AI, with a proven track record of building and deploying AI models
• Expertise in advanced analytics, machine learning, and LLM modelling
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and experience with platforms like Azure Synapse, Snowflake, Databricks, and TensorFlow
• Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as PowerBI
• A strategic mindset with the ability to translate business needs into AI solutions
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Knowledge of compliance, privacy, and ethical frameworks for AI
