What you'll bring to the team
We’re looking for a Part-Time Payroll Officer who can keep the numbers flowing, the people paid, and the compliance rock-solid — all while bringing a positive, can-do attitude to the team. This payroll officer will join our small supportive team of Payroll and HR for Merlin Entertainments ANZ!
About the Role
Joining our payroll team, you will work at the heart of our payroll operations, and ensure our staff are paid accurately and on time. You’ll directly support the business through:
- Processing accurate, timely fortnightly payrolls
- Setting up new starter profiles
- Calculating and processing termination payments
- Keeping everything compliant with awards, EBAs, super, and legislation
- Support end-of-year reporting (PAYG, payroll tax, etc.)
- Help reconcile superannuation and payroll tax obligations
- Maintain accurate and organised employee payroll data
- Work closely along our HR teams to ensure reports and information coincide with employee profiles
Please note that this role will operate on a 3-day/week rotating fortnight, of Wed – Fri, then Mon- Wed.
About You
We’re looking for an experienced Payroll Officer who:
- Brings solid payroll experience and confidence working with payroll systems, ideally a preference for experience in ADP Payforce
- Has history of working with UKG Pro
- Has experience partnering with key business stakeholders across HR, Finance, and Operations, building strong relationships and communicating clearly to resolve queries and improve processes.
- Is a collaborative team player, that thrives in a fast-paced environment, and contributes positively to a supportive, solutions-focused workplace.
