Here’s the scoop - Summary
The Vice President of E-Commerce is a high-impact leadership role responsible for the strategic vision, execution, and profitable growth of our digital commerce channels. You will lead a high-performing team to scale our online presence, optimize the customer journey, and bridge the gap between digital marketing and bottom-line revenue.
As a key member of the North America cross functional leadership team, you will be expected to innovate in a fast-paced market, leveraging data-driven insights to capture market share and enhance brand loyalty.

What a typical day looks like
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive multi-year e-commerce roadmap focused on aggressive revenue growth and margin expansion.
Channel Management: Oversee all digital sales platforms, specifically focused on our key partners - Amazon and Chewy and leveraging knowledge from these key customers with our omni-channel partners e.g. Petco, PetValu, etc.
Omnichannel Leadership Experience – Adept at developing omnichannel merchandising and promotional strategies to win across the petfood ecosystem.
P&L Ownership: Manage the full e-commerce P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation to ensure healthy ROI and CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost) ratios.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Retail Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Product, and IT to ensure a seamless "click-to-door" customer experience.
Provide direction and collaborate with brand experience, shopper, digital marketing, and category teams to optimize plan performance.
Data-Driven Optimization: Utilize advanced analytics and A/B testing to optimize conversion rates (CRO), average order value (AOV), and customer lifetime value (CLV).
Forecasting Management; at macro and customer levels “short and long term”. Partner with customers, direct reports, finance, and demand planning to create a credible short- and long-term plan.
Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and lead a diverse team of digital specialists, fostering a culture of agility, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Leads a team who are geographically remote.
Instill a culture that reflects the Champion Values and MARS 5 Principles with the leaders and teams for the relevant client groups.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field is required. MBA preferred.
10+ years of experience in ecommerce with at least 5-7 years in a senior leadership within the CPG industry.
Demonstrated experience developing and executing integrated growth strategies with measurable success.
Strong analytical mindset to assess performance and make data-driven optimizations.
A people person skilled in networking within the company, building relationships, and driving change through influence rather than authority.
Excellent communication skills, adept at structuring documents and quantitative analyses, as well as creating PowerPoint presentations for executive-level communication.
Motivated, energetic, goal-oriented, with a strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
Demonstration of cultural adaptability and flexing work hours given the geographical spread of responsibility.
Ability to travel at least 30%

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between the range listed above, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, if eligible, including variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Eligibility for these additional elements depend on the position offered and the employee’s work schedule (i.e., part-time schedule, store associate). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
