In our ambition to gain share and create value, the Sr. Sales Finance Business Partner will play a critical role in providing financial leadership and decision support for the NA Food US business in partnership with the US Food Sales VP. Along with creating insights on finance performance, the position needs to ensure achievement of NSV target and that trade fund investments stay within budget.

The Sr. Sales Finance Business Partner will co-create business plans, challenge/review assumptions, spot opportunities & risks, drive sustainable value creation, and ensure proper accounting of trade (including deductions) and sales overheads.

This position ensures that customers and internal clients are respecting the policies and terms of sale established by the various business units and that trade fund investments are utilized as effectively as possible through the reduction of non-working spends.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related.
  • Master’s degree (MBA or MS) preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience (Food/Bev, CPG preferred).
  • Professional accounting or finance qualification such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, or CIMA strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience in Commercial Finance, Customer Finance, Trade Spend Management, or Sales Finance.
  • Strong understanding of trade investment mechanics, ROI modeling, and promotional effectiveness.
  • Familiarity with SRM/RGM frameworks (pricing, promo, mix, pack architecture, trade terms).
  • Experience with trade budget systems, ERP platforms.
  • Power BI, Tableau experience is preferred.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • S&F business partner for the US Food Sales VP – as such supporting the definition of customer strategy and achieving targets set within operational plan/3 yrs value creation plan
  • Member of the Sales Leadership Team and accountable with the US Food Sales VP of the business for the delivery, ownership and execution of the Operating Plan
  • Partner with SRM and the sales organization to drive ROI improvement and best practices to evaluate the effectiveness of promotional activities and trade investments to drive value creation and reduce or move non-working investments to working.
  • Partner with SRM and the sales organization to drive portfolio and customer mix as per business strategy
  • Initiate, lead, and manage projects which will improve current business processes and deliver against strategy
  • Establish and drive digital tools/reporting and a value creation mindset within the Sales organization
  • Ensure that the trade budget is managed accurately and at the appropriate level of detail in the Trade Budget Systems
  • Ensure all sales related expenses are accurately accounted for in the financial systems (trade accruals, deduction management, overheads).
  • Ensure adherence to all corporate policies and guidelines pertaining to internal control with respect to the Trade budget.
  • Support in ad-hoc activities and customer individual offers via financial evaluation and recommendations
  • Support in the preparation of annual trade negotiations and customer business plans
  • Evaluation of financial impacts driven by price increase, as well as changes in trade terms/conditions
  • As appropriate, participate in the market step 2 (DMR) of the S&OP+ process, steering the actions towards the delivery of the annual targets as per business strategy; ensure forecast accuracy for trade and NSV to avoid surprises during the year
  • Support in the period close process by contributing in validating and explaining the actual results, and deriving action plans to address area of improvement

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.

The pay range shown is applicable to all US locations listed within the job posting:USD 153,600.00 - USD 211,200.00
