Are you a strategic leader passionate about bringing innovation to life in a fast-paced manufacturing setting? We are seeking a proactive and influential Site Activity Manager to join our team in Waco, TX.
In this role, you will be the central orchestrator for all innovation, product, packaging, and raw material change management at the site. You will lead the critical process of developing execution plans, conduct impact and risk analyses, and ensure seamless communication with all stakeholders.
What are we looking for?
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree in engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a closely related field.
OR
4+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations, project management, commercialization, supply chain, engineering, quality, maintenance, or a related environment.
Experience supporting or leading cross-functional projects in a manufacturing or production setting.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple priorities, manage timelines, and drive accountability across teams.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly.
Working knowledge of factory readiness, production trials, continuous improvement, or operational execution processes.
Experience using business systems, documentation processes, or data tools to support project execution, such as SAP, BOMs, specifications, recipes, or packaging documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a closely related field.
Experience managing projects in a manufacturing, CPG, food, pet care, pharmaceutical, or similar regulated production environment.
Experience with stage-gate project governance, commercialization processes, risk assessments, validation activities, and post-launch reviews.
Strong understanding of safety, quality, service, cost, and timing tradeoffs in a manufacturing environment.
Proven track record of collaborating with and guiding line managers and senior leaders in project planning and change management.
What will be your key responsibilities?
Site Activity & Change Management Governance
Weekly Governance: Lead and manage the weekly Site Activity/Change Management meetings, driving cross-functional engagement and managing project governance processes to ensure all stage-gate requirements are completed on time with high-quality deliverables.
Execution Planning: Facilitate the development of detailed, robust site execution plans, timelines, milestones, and implementation strategies for all upcoming change activities (including new product launches, package changes, formula changes, line extensions, promotional items, and productivity initiatives).
Impact Analysis: Conduct thorough impact analyses regarding implementation costs, operational efficiency, and line capacity to balance safety, quality, service, cost, and timing considerations.
Risk & Mitigation: Lead comprehensive risk assessments (including safety and quality) to establish clear mitigation activities and contingency plans, proactively identifying, mitigating, and escalating project risks when necessary.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary voice to communicate all change activities, timelines, recommendations, and impacts to site leadership, the wider site, and active business stakeholders.
Project Execution & Strategic Operations
Tracking & Reporting: Track, maintain, and report all project activity, status, and critical information as part of the standardized weekly Site Activity Management process.
Factory Readiness: Coordinate factory readiness activities across all functions, ensuring equipment, materials, systems, training, quality requirements, and operational processes are validated and fully in place prior to launch.
Trial & Technical Validation: Coordinate and support production trials, validation activities, and commercialization efforts, partnering with Value Stream teams to execute capital projects, productivity initiatives, and site continuous improvement activities.
Regional Alignment: Actively participate in Regional Activity Management meetings (e.g., Cell/Brand innovation meetings, Seasonal activity meetings) and maintain strong, collaborative connections with Segment Industrial Engineers (IEs) to align regional pipelines with site capabilities.
System & Data Integrity: Ensure SAP, Bill of Materials (BOMs), recipes, specifications, packaging documentation, and all supporting systems are accurately updated and validated prior to project implementation.
Post-Launch Continuous Improvement: Conduct post-launch reviews to capture lessons learned, identifying opportunities to simplify project execution processes, improve factory readiness, and increase the speed, effectiveness, and capability of future innovation delivery.
