Job Purpose

The Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing, General Service APMEA is responsible for the General Service category spend management in APMEA region, supporting segments including Mars Snacking, Pet Nutrition and Royal Canin. This role will be responsible for integrating the global sourcing strategy of General Service and translating the global strategy to regional execution action roadmap, supporting cross segments stakeholders, organizing and leading the category community and delivering the value creation commitments.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible to develop and institutionalize an enterprise wide annual sourcing plan (ASP), in partnership with global category team and cluster buyers, for APMEA Media and Content Category, including value creation in terms of P&L impact, inflation mitigation, contribution to the productivity programs of each Segment and cash, drive innovation through excellence in category management. Ensure maximum coverage of the USD 150M in spend with a documented 3 year strategy.

  • Organize and facilitate APMEA General Service (GS) community, to ensure strategy alignment, execution roadmap development, best practice sharing, community priority setting, category capability development, risk mitigation and drive simplification.

  • Establish and maintain healthy relationships with the key regional and local stakeholders, including functional leaders in P&O, Finance, GMs, CFOs and other relevant functions to ensure understanding and alignment with the business needs and requirements. Provides market and financial insights and inputs to the internal financial planning and review processes.

  • Represent APMEA in global Commercial GS team to ensure APMEA market knowledge is included in the Global strategies and implement regional and global strategy following MSSM process.

  • Partner with SET team and define work streams to be delivered by SET and monitor the delivery quality

  • Responsible for the relationships with global and key regional suppliers in APMEA to drive performance, deliver continuous quality and cost improvement as well as develop supplier enabled innovations

  • Develop APMEA market Category insights including benchmarking and importing best practices. Share these insights and best practices across the GS community in APMEA region.

  • Ensure compliance with policies, systems and controls according to Mars standards.

  • Specifically in 2026:

Responsible for integration of GS spend of newly acquired business units, with aligned global sourcing strategy and framework, recommend effective approach and report progress

Job Specifications/Qualifications

Education & Professional Qualifications

  • University Degree, ideally Business related or marketing, finance, procurement

Knowledge / Experience

  • Minimum 10 years Commercial (procurement) experience

  • Sourcing Category management

  • Strong analytical and technical skills required in Excel (i.e., pivot tables) and data management.

  • Proven experience in managing complex stakeholder relationships and navigating organizational dynamics.
