SEA FP&A Manager – P&L Management

Function: Finance – FP&A, PN SEA

Role Purpose

The FP&A Manager – P&L Management is responsible for end-to-end ownership of the Profit & Loss statement for the assigned business unit or market. This role partners closely with business leaders to ensure robust financial planning, accurate forecasting, and disciplined performance management. The FP&A Manager translates business strategy into actionable financial plans, delivers clear insights, and drives accountability for P&L outcomes.

This position is a hands-on business partner role, focused on influencing decisions, challenging assumptions, and embedding financial intelligence into daily operations. Success is measured by the quality of insights, impact on business decisions, and the ability to drive P&L performance.

Key Accountabilities

1. P&L Ownership & Business Partnering

  • Lead full P&L management, providing deep insight into drivers, risks, and opportunities.

  • Partner with functional leaders to ensure decisions are grounded in sound financial analysis.

  • Challenge business assumptions and ensure financial expectations are realistic and data-driven.

  • Present clear financial narratives in business reviews to drive alignment and action.

2. Forecasting & In-Year Performance Management

  • Lead monthly and quarterly forecasting cycles, translating strategy into actionable targets.

  • Monitor performance, identify variances, and drive timely interventions to stay on track.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure forecast accuracy and accountability for inputs.

3. Financial Analysis & Decision Support

  • Deliver actionable insights on sales, trade, overheads, and cash flow to support resource allocation.

  • Conduct scenario analysis and risk–opportunity assessments to inform business decisions.

  • Simplify reporting to provide a single source of truth for business partners.

4. Issue Resolution & Follow-Through

  • Quickly identify performance gaps and translate findings into corrective actions.

  • Influence partners to take ownership of issues and commit to resolution timelines.

  • Ensure closure of actions through disciplined follow-up.

5. Stakeholder Engagement & Team Collaboration

  • Build trusted partnerships with Sales, Supply Chain, and Finance teams.

  • Support the development of junior FP&A team members through coaching and knowledge sharing.

  • Role-model Mars values, promoting collaboration, accountability, and high-quality thinking.
