  • Advanced English proficiency.

  • Experience in Regulatory Affairs, Quality, or related compliance functions.

  • Strong understanding of regulations applicable to the pet food industry.

  • Collaboration and cross-functional coordination.

  • Ability to balance business needs with regulatory requirements.

Preferred

  • Ability to act as the Authorized Responsible Veterinarian (MVRA) before SENASICA, subject to holding the required professional credentials and license.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Regulatory Registration & Innovation Support

  • Lead and manage the regulatory registration process for new products, ensuring timely submission of technical dossiers in alignment with innovation project timelines.

  • Provide regulatory leadership for formula change projects not associated with innovation, conducting risk assessments to ensure compliance and business continuity.

  • Coordinate with external consultants to obtain and validate critical regulatory documentation, including Certificates of Free Sale (CFS/CLV) and special authorizations required for registrations.

Brand Integrity, Packaging & Claims Compliance

  • Ensure the accuracy and regulatory compliance of all brand communications, both on-pack and off-pack.

  • Lead the approval process for product claims in Mexico while ensuring alignment with local legal requirements and regional affiliate guidelines.

  • Review and approve packaging, artwork, labels, master specifications, and technical documentation to ensure consistency between registered formulas, final designs, and applicable regulations.

  • Manage advertising material certifications through accredited verification bodies and ensure the proper use of approved claims.

  • Plan and execute the Annual Claims Compliance Audit for Mexico, driving corrective actions and mitigating legal or reputational risks.

Regulatory Compliance & Operational Support

  • Ensure implementation of Quality Management Process (QMP) requirements related to Regulatory Affairs across manufacturing sites.

  • Support import and export activities for product samples by managing regulatory requirements and obtaining health certificates when needed.

  • Provide regulatory expertise during inspections, audits, and verification visits conducted by local or international authorities, including SADER and SENASICA.

  • Act as the Authorized Responsible Veterinarian (MVRA), when applicable and qualified, to provide regulatory and veterinary oversight.

Stakeholder & External Partner Management

  • Partner closely with Marketing, Legal, Product Development (PDI), Corporate Affairs, Sales, Customer Marketing, and regional affiliates to ensure regulatory compliance throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Manage operational interactions with external partners, including budget tracking, payment processes, authorization letters, and service coordination.

Business Impact

  • Ensure successful regulatory registrations for new products.
