We are looking for a Regional Project Engineer to lead the development and delivery of CAB investments across multiple sites. The role provides technical expertise and leadership to multi-disciplinary teams delivering a portfolio of engineering projects, which may include digital manufacturing, process, packaging, utilities and broader facilities or infrastructure scopes.
What are we looking for?
Education:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Chemical, Biochemical, Mechanical Engineering or similar.
- Project management experience and/or training is an advantage, but not a must.
Technical & Professional Knowledge:
- 3-5 years engineering/technical experience in packaging/process or utilities.
- Strong technical background in at least one discipline (packaging, process, utilities) with the ability to work across adjacent disciplines.
- Working knowledge of safety, food safety and regulatory requirements in manufacturing environments is an advantage but not a must.
Experience:
- Delivery of capital projects with significant content within live manufacturing environments.
- Budget management and cost control.
- Management of system integrators, contractors and technology vendors.
- Ability to apply known technologies independently while working effectively within multi‑disciplinary teams.
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Deliver projects in accordance with the Mars Project Management curriculum, from technical scoping through design, execution, and project closure.
- Lead engineering contractors and subcontractors during all project phases.
- Maintain effective supplier relationships to support quality, reliability, and efficient project delivery.
- Manage project budgets for assigned projects, ensuring delivery within approved financial objectives.
- Define and execute technical solutions ensuring alignment with business needs, engineering standards, human safety, food safety, environmental, and legal obligations.
- Hold primary responsibility for installation activities, ensuring safe execution and readiness for commissioning.
- Develop and align equipment performance specifications to support procurement, equipment ordering, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
- Act as a functional expert providing technical guidance to other departments in specific technology areas.
- Participate actively in the Regional Community of Practice (COP), contributing to global standards, supporting standard reviews and improvements, and driving consistent implementation across the cluster.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends in the relevant field.
