Regional Finance Functional Expert - Intercompany

Your Purpose & Impact at Mars

The primary purpose of the SAP ICB Functional Expert is to secure stable Business as Usual (BaU) operations by providing Tier-2 technical support and maintaining robust ERP governance across Intercompany Balances and General Accounting. The role focuses on developing and mentoring the Key User community to drive knowledge management and manage key stakeholder relationships across IT, MGSF, and Business Units. Additionally, the role delivers continuous improvement, deploys technical enablers, and partners cross-functionally to lead complex business projects and end-to-end solutions.

Essential Requirements

• Robust experience in SAP ERP, with a specialized focus on Intercompany Balances (ICB) and General Accounting.
• Proven track record in Tier-2 technical support and ERP system governance within global or complex matrix organizations.
• Strong stakeholder management and matrix leadership skills to act as a bridge between operational leaders, process owners, and Center of Excellence (CoE) teams.
• Experience in developing and mentoring Key User communities, driving knowledge management, and delivering training.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting capabilities for complex techno-functional issues and system/process impact assessments.
• Fluency in English is required for regional representation and global meetings.

Desirable Requirements

• Experience applying digital automation, bolt-on solutions, and ERP features to improve financial process efficiency.
• Prior background working within a Finance Shared Service Center environment.
• Familiarity with innovative process design and continuous improvement methodologies.

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Support the identification and strategy for end-to-end Intercompany solutions in partnership with cross-functional teams.
• Support key users and help finance shared service center stakeholders through troubleshooting of complex techno-functional issues.
• Initiate and implement Continuous Improvements within the scope of assigned functional area which can benefit the service centers.
• Apply digital, bolt-on, and ERP-based solutions to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and experience for the respective function -> people, process, and technology.
• Deliver timely and accurate support to ERP governance and change management through best-in-class system/process impact assessment.
• Support in testing (local/global changes) to ensure system issues are proactively prevented, applying automation where needed.
• Represent the unit / region in global meetings with other Regional Functional Experts in the prioritization of new developments.
• Partner with BU and Stakeholders to understand current and future technical needs.
