About the role: This role will be working for Mars Incorporated within our Royal Canin segment, where we advance pet health through tailored nutrition and scientific expertise.

Role Title: Quality Manager
Location: Melbourne, Victoria
Hours: Full-time, and please note that this role will require majority in office presence
Reporting to: Supply Chain Director

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the ANZ Quality Management System, ensuring full compliance with Mars Quality Standards and local regulatory requirements across Australia and New Zealand
  • Act as the primary QMS liaison for global and regional teams, driving alignment, documentation excellence, and robust process governance.
  • Own CAPA management, internal/external audits, and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen Quality performance across the business.
  • Champion change management, knowledge protection, and Quality training programs to build capability and maintain high operational standards.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to review Quality performance, support S&OP+ processes, and ensure readiness for regulatory, recall, and business continuity activities.
  • Shape the future of Quality systems by managing key digital platforms (CQP, NEXUS) and overseeing Quality-related budgeting, strategy, and process optimization.

Your experience and passion:

  • Degree or diploma in Quality, Business, Logistics, or related fields, with extensive (5+ years) Quality Management experience in FMCG, food, or consumer goods.
  • Strong expertise in QMS frameworks (ISO 9001, HACCP, GMP), CAPA processes, and ANZ regulatory requirements, including FSANZ and relevant industry standards.
  • Proven success leading audits, managing compliance, and driving cross-functional continuous improvement in multi-site or matrix environments.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain logistics operations, product safety, risk management, and supplier quality oversight.
  • Excellent communicator with strong stakeholder influence skills, data analysis capability, process mapping knowledge, and proficiency with Quality systems and Microsoft Office.
