Job Description:

The position is responsible to support the delivery of innovation as well as maintenance and continuous improvement of dry products for China. The associate will work cross-functionally to provide technical support for existing products, lead new product development and drive continuous improvement, all while maintaining quality design and delivering desired product performance to both the consumer and pet.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Engineering or science related technical field
  • 5+ year’s industry experience in R&D within FMCG Strong knowledge of product development from bench top to full scale production.
  • Strong ability to work cross functionally with people in other disciplines/business areas.
  • Experience on Co-man management Demonstrated excellence in project management with the strong capability to motivate and direct a technical team.
  • Experience of translating consumer/business insights into scalable product solutions.
  • Excellent English Preferred Qualifications: Understanding of Petfood consumers, market opportunities, recipes, raw materials and process constraints.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable petfood technologies and the manufacturing processes used to produce feed and petfood ingredients.

What will be your key responsibilities?

- Product Development:

  • Role to fuel the innovation pipeline, identifying and translating consumer, shopper and customer insights into key quality attributes (KQA's) and desirable product taken from first prototype through to industrial production. Work seamlessly with Global and Regional team to ensure effective risk management of the product development workstreams, linking cross functionally.

- Manufacturing Technical Product Development:

  • Role focuses on improving products, components, equipment, systems, or processes and to ensuring consistent delivery against key quality attributes, product performance and quality targets.

- Technical study:

  • Coordinate technical study on product fundamental knowledge and capability building and give business recommendation to flawless innovation and renovation implementation. Networking with Co-man, external agencies and global R&D experts
  • Primarily focused on translation phases of Growth activities, but also covering efficiency and quality through brand maintenance initiatives as required.
  • Direct activities through an understanding of Desirability /Feasibility /Viability and be able to motivate and direct a range of R&D associates and beyond (including interaction with a range of supply and demand functions).
  • Lead to build Nutro product innovation capability: applies strategic thinking, understanding of the brands and our consumer, combined with technical understanding of how to flex our processes, in order to create the next generation of Nutro offerings. Lead product continuous improvement of Nutro & Nutro Max on desirability, viability, and feasibility to meet quality, efficiency and cost requirement;
  • Lead to develop innovation related raw material;
  • Product and raw material technical and functional capability building and the knowledge transformation in Global and local;
