Our Mars Canada, Pet Nutrition team, is looking for a talented Project Management Lead. As Project management lead, you will be responsible for facilitating the commercialization of projects including innovation, renovation, and deactivations. Some projects will entail facilitation of development, launch execution, and post launch evaluation.


The Project management Lead will partner with the Project owner (generally in Marketing or Sales strategy) to facilitate and manage the scoping, planning and timing of any given project.


This role focusses on excellence in execution through leadership in process improvement, effective collaboration with regional and cross-functional stakeholders, and escalation of options and recommendations as needed to relevant forums to mitigate risks and unlock opportunities through data-based decision making against the project brief.

What are we looking for?

  • 3+ years of business experience (either Brand management/ Innovation, Supply Chain or Finance function), including 2 years of product commercialization experience or related work.
  • Ability to influence and drive process improvement with proven results.
  • Ability to develop collaborative relationships and effective stakeholder management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A motivated self-starter.
  • Continuous improvement focused individual who leads with agility.
  • Advanced user of MS office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Understands retailer dynamics of the CPG retailer environment in Canada.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Lead the project management team through process improvements, development of SLAs, and resource management.
  • Facilitate the Project management forum (step in the S&OP+ process) every cycle.
  • Lead the team and the project through the stages and gate process, managing risks and creating mitigation plans.
  • Track and monitor projects from new products development through to execution.
  • Develop collaborative relationships across all stakeholders (local and regional) using organizational agility & conflict management skills to proactively manage and mitigate issues.
