Job Description:

The Regional Sourcing Director for Royal Canin/Petcare leads the sourcing strategy for raw, packaging, and indirect materials across the region. This role secures reliable, high-quality supply, mitigates risk, drives productivity and financial value, and develops a high-performing sourcing organization. The Director partners closely with cross-functional teams and global Commercial to deliver cost savings, supplier innovation, governance, and long-term sourcing capability.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science or technology discipline preferred.

  • 8+ years of purchasing/sourcing experience in FMCG (preferably food or beverage), with structured training in sourcing strategy and purchasing.

  • At least 5+ years of people management experience leading teams and developing talent preferred

  • Ability to build and communicate a clear sourcing vision using market insights and data; able to align stakeholders and mobilize cross-functional teams.

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills; experience working in multinational and multicultural environments.

  • Creative negotiator with strong Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) skills.

  • Strong data analysis capability and impactful storytelling/presentation skills.

  • Able to understand and communicate technical and scientific aspects of materials and processes.


What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Team & Capability Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop sourcing talent; build functional and leadership competencies; establish a strong talent pipeline.

  • Materials Supply & Risk Management: Own sourcing, pricing, negotiation, and contracting; proactively mitigate supply risk through diversification and contingency planning; collaborate on innovation sourcing.

  • Supplier Relationship Management: Act as the escalation point for supplier performance, quality, and sustainability; drive supplier development and bring external innovation into the business.

  • Productivity / Financial Delivery (DiB): Identify savings and value opportunities; lead negotiations; drive regional and global productivity pipeline and best practice sharing.

  • Indirect Sourcing Partnership: Partner with MGS Commercial to support indirect sourcing needs (e.g., plants, logistics, services).

  • Commercial Governance: Ensure full compliance with the Mars Commercial Guide and continuously improve sourcing tools, processes, and ways of working.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.

The pay range shown is applicable to all locations listed within the job posting:USD 190,608.00 - USD 262,093.00
