Here's the Scoop – Summary

The Materials Coordinator is responsible for managing inventory replenishment, driving execution and accountability across all inventory activities within the supply chain.

This role ensures the efficient flow of materials and inventory to maintain optimal stock levels that meet production requirements.

Key responsibilities include overseeing the introduction of new products into the system, managing purchase orders, and ensuring end-to-end supply continuity in alignment with operational needs.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Ensure compliance to Company’s policies, practices and procedures related to Health and Safety, Food Safety, and the Environment

  • Place purchase orders while ensuring flow of inventory that guarantees optimum stock levels and meets production goals

  • Maintain database for all purchase orders to ensure they are up to date and provide information for analysis and reporting

  • Assist in implementing process improvements and assisting in planning, organizing, and evaluating supply chain activities

  • Review and process claims against suppliers. Open and manage NCR reports

  • Manage all sites and warehouses capacity for raw materials and packaging

  • Enter inventory schedules for the following month into the system, monitor progress, and contact clients and suppliers to resolve issues

  • Assisting in analyzing inventory needs based on sales trends and inventory levels

  • Provide product, storage, and order information to all internal departments, as requested

  • Advise departments of potential procurement issues and lead time required to obtain products on time and with Champion’s quality standard

  • Maintain awareness of internal and external factors impacting supply chain, and assist in making alternate arrangements in the event of storages, overages, or delayed deliveries to minimize impact on the organization

  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.

What are we looking for?

  • Applicable post secondary education and/or SCMP

  • Minimum two years’ experience in a Commodity Sourcing or Supply Chain role

  • Experience working with ERP systems considered an asset

  • Regular office hours are Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm

  • High level of attention to detail and strong ability to problem resolution

  • Have excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills and have the ability to multitask and execute work within deadlines;

  • Exceptional organizational skills, especially when it comes to detailed inventory and materials counts

  • Must be available to travel to other 3rd party warehouse location as required

  • Ability to pass a Drug & Alcohol testing

  • Ability to clear a Criminal Record Check and provide references
