Job Description

The Master Data Management Functional Expert, based in either Brazil or Mexico, is responsible for delivering Business Value and Innovation Ideas for Mars North America. They are focused on how our systems interact with each other and their impact on master data. This role is primarily focused on North America, supporting both the US and Canadian markets but will include some global work.

What are we looking for?

  • Business Systems Knowledge: The Associate possesses comprehensive knowledge of business systems used in their role and their impact on efficiency. They optimize processes and proactively resolve complex issues with innovative solutions. They would be considered a "Key User" of the primary systems used in support of their role and would help drive continuous improvement of those systems.

  • Issue Resolution / Collaborative Problem Solving: The Associate conducts thorough analyses of issues and develops effective solutions independently. They lead collaborative problem-solving efforts, facilitate discussions and drive consensus and utilize their network where needed.

  • Challenging / Questioning: The Associate begins to ask questions to challenge assumptions and comments that do not match their understanding and experience, or that seem to be at odds with the stated goals of the projects before them

  • Process Automation / Machine Learning: The Associate is able to recognize potential opportunities for utilizing process automation and machine learning. They identify repetitive tasks and suggest areas for improvement, collaborating with experienced team members to explore these opportunities.

  • Interpersonal Communication: The Associate effectively communicates in a variety of situations and with diverse audiences and is able to find and share opportunities for improvement and learnings across teams and regions.

  • Stakeholder Engagement / Prioritization: The Associate demonstrates proficiency in stakeholder engagement, independently addressing stakeholder needs and concerns. They are comfortable engaging stakeholders and driving prioritization anywhere within their segment, domain or process.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Project Support. Support Business, Mars Global Services or Master Data Management projects, either independently or with another Associate depending on project complexity.
    Capabilities Required: Challenging / Questioning; Stakeholder Engagement / Prioritization.

  • Issue Identification, Tracking and Resolution. The Associate will be MDM North America’s first point of contact for specific business segments’ systems issues.
    Capabilities Required: Issue Resolution / Collaborative Problem Solving; Business Systems Knowledge; Interpersonal Communication

  • System Testing. The Associate will be responsible for System Testing, which may be included as part of local Business Segment project support, but may also be driven by global projects (ie S4 Hana regression testing).
    Capabilities Required: Business Systems Knowledge; Challenging / Questioning

  • Process knowledge, documentation and improvement/automation. The Associate will use their process knowledge to document and improve business processes through automation, often in collaboration with a MDM T2 teammate.
    Capabilities Required: Process Automation / Machine Learning; Business Systems Knowledge.
