Role : Marketing Manager - Pet Specialty Retail

Location : Mumbai

Job Overview / Purpose

  • The role of the Marketing Manager - SPT would be to work in an effective way to support the best decision-making and reach our unit’s growth ambition for the pillar. The mission of the incumbent will be to create, develop & deploy a successful innovative marketing plan to support the sales growth for the SPT channel. Support the work of the marketing team on all projects from product launches to promotions and be involved at all levels.

  • Continuous measurement of market data and product ranges. Ensure the necessary knowledge to implement a successful marketing plan that will leverage sales performances.

Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver the Pet Specialty Retail pillar growth , volume and NSV targets for the year, manage the marketing budget , organize customer meeting/events ,new product launch , drive numerical distribution.

  • Working closely with cross-functional team / regional & global team to create and deploy pillar strategy. Working closely with digital team in media campaign plans

  • Analyze data periodically, both pillar wise and area wise and plan for innovation marketing interventions accordingly.

  • Optimize the impact of Pillar driven program ( Loyalty / Engagement program / CAT MAN )

  • Continuous measurement of market data and product ranges. Ensure the necessary knowledge to implement a successful marketing plan that will leverage sales performances.

  • Regularly train and coach the sales team to ensure a consistent brand image quality in the market. Organize trainings for the customers as per a planned schedule.

  • Optimizing and managing the marketing budget for the Pet Specialty Retail pillar

  • Plan for innovative promotions to build buzz and reach for Royal Canin.

  • Plan for the forecasts of the SKU's to be launched, as well as the area wise targets. Ensure all approvals are received as per timelines for launch

  • Communicate effectively and coordinating with local suppliers, to develop local marketing tools.

  • Plan and maintain a record for all merchandising done in outlets across pillars.

Education & Professional Qualification

  • Master’s degree in (Marketing) –MBA from Tier 1 B School

Knowledge/Experience

  • Minimum 8-10 years marketing work experience

  • Experience of atleast 3 years in customer marketing / Trade marketing roles
