Global Q&FS Systems & Performance Lead

Salary from £40,000

Paddington/Slough office - Hybrid

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Global Q&FS Systems & Performance Lead to join us here at Mars! You'll lead the processes necessary to drive implementation, improvements, maintenance, and optimization of the Corporate Q&FS systems.


Your role plays a key role in data reporting and analysis to drive continuous improvement in our quality culture and metrics. This is a hybrid role with weekly presence expected in SLO/PAD offices.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelors/Masters Degree in Food Science, Engineering, Chemistry or equivalent OR relevant experience
  • Proven experience in the food or feed industry
  • Systems experience desired SAP Knowledge
  • Experience within project management
  • Track record of building collaborative and cross-functional relationships

Corporate and Segment Q&FS Systems

  • Implement and maintain (as key link into IT services (MGS) and Corporate Q&FS) key Corporate Q&FS systems that enable Q&FS to work in an effective and efficient way, fully leveraging visibility and transparency of QMS.
  • Initiate gap analysis of existing deployment of Q&FS Systems in Food when needed. Segment E2E Process owner for Quality Platforms (Incl. Atlas Market Traceability, T&C & ITR, Nexus and Salesforce CQP & MRA NG).
  • Support cross-functional Functional Experts, and Segment Key & End Users with escalations, CI Projects and deployment of existing capabilities. Provide input to develop new Corporate Q&FS capabilities.
  • Responsible for Segment specific Q&FS Systems / capabilities.
  • Represents QFS with MGS, R&D and other functions for Q&FS systems related projects and QFS metrics
  • Leads the deployment of corporate and segment QFS systems, tracks effectiveness of new systems and continuously Improves the segment performance on systems usage
  • Responsible for building system capabilities In the segment Drives the annual prioritisation of systems projects and segment roadmap
  • Supports with providing access to new businesses (M&A) on QFS systems and metrics

Performance & Metrics Management

  • Segment Quality Metrics reporting lead - Leads Quality Reporting, Trending and Analysis to support the segment continuous improvement.
  • Support with establishing quality performance trackers to track internal audits, management review outputs, FAB and strategy trackers
  • Supports generating segment quarterly quality management review and corporate review by compiling performance metrics and KPIs
  • Own and drive improvement in the consumer contact process in food (from Quality side). Drive visibility and reporting on complaint trending and effectiveness in the complaints process.
  • Deliver periodic CPM-reports within the Global Food business and deliver quarterly Q&FS Global Food metrics and report to Mars Inc
  • Supports Q&FS and Supply in their actions to ensure CPM, RFT and other KPIs reporting is done according to metrics definitions (including training)
  • Leverage data to drive Quality Management program governance and compliance. Provide input into Target setting and Q&FS Metric evolution on an annual basis.
  • Own and drive data quality improvements in the segment
