The role

Having ramped up manufacturing activities at our brand new MK facility, we are looking for a highly motivated Assistant Production Manager to join the team. You’ll be assisting the Production Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficiency, maintaining product quality & hygiene standards and driving continuous improvement in all production processes.

• Assist in planning, organising, and overseeing daily production activities to meet production targets, timelines, and quality standards as well as monitoring the production workflow, ensuring that machines, equipment, and personnel are operating efficiently.
• Assist in implementing production schedules, optimising deployment, and minimising downtime. Motivate and lead the team to meet production goals and adhere to company policies and quality standards.
• Directly supervise production staff, providing clear instructions and ensuring that all work is carried out safely and effectively. Setting high standards on health and safety, leading by example and driving a positive culture through others.
• Collaborating closely with our technical team on quality assurance and food safety, actively participating in audits and inspections to uphold stringent standards. Demonstrating an understanding of allergen management protocols, ensuring correct cleaning procedures are followed to prevent any cross-contamination.
• Identify areas for improvement in production processes and collaborate with the Production Manager to implement changes.

• This role is best suited to someone with experience leading teams in automated food production, health and safety management (NEBOSH preferred), and knowledge of food safety regulations. Strong leadership, proficiency in production management software, and a background in continuous improvement methodologies are essential.
• To keep up with life at Huel you will be willing to get hands-on with the development, training & implementation of new operating procedures and you'll be able to work in a fast-paced environment!
