Job Description

Job Description:

The ECb Portfolio & Demand Senior Lead operates at the intersection of business strategy, technology demand, portfolio governance, and value realization. The role requires strong partnership with ECb leadership, delivery teams, product/service teams, finance, business stakeholders, and governance forums to ensure the portfolio is actionable, transparent, and outcome-led.

The role operates in a global, multicultural environment with competing priorities, evolving demand, constrained capacity, and the need for strong executive alignment. It requires the ability to simplify complexity, manage ambiguity, and create structure around decision-making, prioritization, and value tracking.

What are we looking for?

  • Lead a high-performing Portfolio & Demand team with clear standards and adaptable ways of working.

  • Build a customer-focused and value-driven roadmap based on business needs and ECb strategic priorities.

  • Drive portfolio transparency through clear reporting, governance routines, and decision-ready insights.

  • Partner closely with ECb leadership and stakeholders to align demand, investments, and capacity.

  • Strengthen Lean Portfolio, value management, and outcome tracking practices across ECb.

  • Communicate in business language, connecting technology work to measurable outcomes and strategic value.

Strategic Portfolio Leadership

  • Own and lead the ECb Portfolio & Demand team, setting strategic direction, operating standards, governance practices, and ways of working.

  • Define and steer the ECb portfolio strategy, value themes, investment guardrails, and prioritization principles aligned with business outcomes.

  • Translate ECb and business strategy into a clear, actionable portfolio roadmap that enables leadership decision-making and delivery focus.

  • Inspire Lean Portfolio Management practices, enabling the team to balance value, risk, capacity, dependencies, and delivery feasibility.

Demand Intake and Prioritization

  • Lead the ECb demand intake process, ensuring demand is captured, qualified, assessed, and routed through consistent governance.

  • Guide portfolio prioritization based on value, risk, urgency, strategic fit, delivery capacity, and business impact.

  • Coach teams and stakeholders on intake quality, business case maturity, value articulation, and decision readiness.

  • Establish clear criteria and guardrails for demand evaluation, ensuring decisions are transparent, outcome-focused, and aligned with ECb priorities.

Value Management and Outcome Tracking

  • Drive value management practices across the ECb portfolio, ensuring initiatives are connected to measurable outcomes and business value.

  • Define and evolve value themes, benefit logic, success measures, and outcome tracking practices across the portfolio lifecycle.

  • Partner with delivery teams, finance, product, and business stakeholders to improve visibility of planned versus realized value.

  • Ensure portfolio reporting connects investment, capacity, delivery progress, risks, and value realization in a way that supports executive decisions.

Governance and Portfolio Maturity

  • Strengthen ECb governance maturity by defining standards, cadences, decision forums, and portfolio control mechanisms.

  • Ensure governance is fit-for-purpose, balancing speed, quality, transparency, and accountability.

  • Build and continuously improve portfolio management practices, including roadmap management, prioritization, dependency visibility, and portfolio health reporting.

  • Drive consistency in how ECb initiatives are evaluated, approved, sequenced, monitored, and communicated.

Team Leadership and Coaching

  • Lead, coach, and develop the ECb Portfolio & Demand team, building capability in Lean Portfolio Management, value management, governance, and executive communication.

  • Create a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and outcome orientation.

  • Guide the team to excel in project delivery enablement, demand shaping, portfolio reporting, and value tracking.

  • Influence and motivate cross-functional teams indirectly, ensuring alignment across ECb delivery, operations, product, finance, and business stakeholders.

Executive Interface and Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a senior interface with executives and key stakeholders, translating strategic priorities into portfolio choices, roadmap decisions, and investment trade-offs.

  • Communicate portfolio status, priorities, decisions, risks, and value outcomes in clear business language.

  • Facilitate leadership conversations on prioritization, capacity constraints, value opportunities, dependencies, and delivery risks.

  • Build trusted relationships across ECb, MGS, Digital Technologies, business functions, and external partners where relevant.
