Here’s the scoop - Summary

The Director of eCommerce Retail Media & Merchandising is responsible for developing and executing a data driven retail media and digital merchandising strategy that accelerates growth, improves visibility, and maximizes return on investment across key retail partners.

This role sits at the intersection of marketing, sales, analytics, and e commerce and plays a critical leadership role in driving performance through optimized on site merchandising and paid retail media.

The ideal candidate brings a strong balance of strategic thinking, hands on execution, and cross functional leadership, with deep experience managing retailer media platforms and digital shelf optimization.

This position will be based out of Colorado, Nashville or New York City and work a hybrid schedule with 3 days in-person.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the end‑to‑end retail media strategy across priority retail partners with primary focus on Amazon, Chewy and specialty retailers.
  • Manage planning, activation, optimization, and performance reporting for on‑site and off‑site retail media programs.
  • Define investment strategy, budgets, and KPIs to maximize ROAS, sales lift, NTB and share of voice.
  • Ensure best‑in‑class product detail pages (PDPs), including SEO, imagery, copy, A+ content, and brand store experiences.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high‑performing retail media and merchandising team.

Requirements

  • 8–10+ years of experience in e‑commerce, retail media, digital merchandising, or digital marketing.

  • Proven experience managing retail media platforms across top eCommerce (specifically Amazon and Chewy)
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using retail media and e‑commerce performance data to drive decisions.
  • Experience in CPG, retail, or omnichannel environments with proven ability to drive growth
  • Drive category and item‑level optimization using insights from consumer behavior and retailer analytics.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Analytics, Brand, and Supply Chain teams to align strategies and execution.
  • Familiarity with digital shelf and analytics tools (e.g., Profitero, Nielsen IQ, Skai, Helium 10, etc)

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, if eligible, including variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Eligibility for these additional elements depend on the position offered and the employee’s work schedule (i.e., part-time schedule, store associate). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
