The Director E2E Supply Chain Operations is responsible for delivering on-shelf availability through optimized and enabled E2E Supply Chain in service of Pet Nutrition Canada business ambitions.
This role will own the signature S&OP+ process (PMR, DMR, SCMR, and IR). The selected candidate will focus on developing, aligning, and deploying segment specific and regional Pet Nutrition Supply Chain strategies through effective, integrated partnerships with segment leadership, SC regional leadership teams, and Canadian SC Core Leadership teammates.
The role, delivers IVCP value to deliver cost efficiency & capability for innovation & growth through E2E SC solutions and cross-functional partnership.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience across supply chain functions, including leadership across end-to-end (E2E) operations/Proven experience in Demand and/or Supply functions (Operations, Procurement, Planning, etc).
- Strong analytical and financial acumen, with the ability to connect marketing, sales, pricing, volume, and cost drivers to business performance.
- Advanced experience in trend analysis, financial modeling, variance analysis, ROI evaluation, and KPI/dashboard management.
- Experience with Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
- Proven ability to evaluate business performance and identify key drivers to improve results.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong decision-making skills with the ability to operate independently and drive execution.
- Advanced problem-solving capabilities, including root cause analysis, stakeholder alignment, and implementation of effective solutions.
- Self-motivated with a proactive mindset and a strong focus on continuous improvement.
- Results-oriented, detail-driven, and adaptable in a dynamic environment.
What will be your key responsibilities?
S&OP+:
- Overarching responsibility of the entire S&OP+ process (steps 1-5) for the local business and key market representative to the NA Regional processes. Govern existing S&OP+ in accordance with agreed processes & principles.
- Step 3 (SCMR) Facilitator: Prepares agenda and facilitates decision making by the Canada Supply Chain team and stakeholders.
- Proactively managing any risks & opportunities through effective and collaborative communication with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to ensure business ability to identify and react to changes in planned performance and in the competitive environment
Integrated Business Planning and Coordination:
- Maintaining a 360-degree view of the organization and tight-knit relationships to be able to provide context and perspective on organizational problems. Utilize strong leadership skills to build, maintain and promote positive working relationships within local, regional and global teams and across various unit cross-functional areas.
- Oversee Demand Planning, Activity / Project Management, Segment Planning, Supply operations and Supply Planning functions to maintain strong connectivity through Steps 1 -3 including critical project delivery in partnership with the region.
Deliver annual segment plan through E2E SC operational excellence, crisis management & cost efficiency:
- Lead the segment SCMR, CMOS and Sales & Operations Execution (“S&OE”) processes (including Recovery actions when needed) to orchestrate trade-off decisions with cross-functional and leadership teams to optimize SC performance and delivery of segment strategy.
- Accountable for connectivity of Canadian SCMR and S&OP escalations to Regional SCMR.
- Provide oversight and input into COGS and Indirects/controllables affecting SC cost.
- Monitor and triage operational delivery of SC fundamentals escalation to core (logistics/customer) leaders for critical resolution
- Develop and implement platform SC strategies to deliver against key metrics with other SC functions optimize strategies and tactics while ensuring full consideration/representation of E2E SC.
- Drive WOW effectiveness with Canadian SC Core, Regional SC, plants and affiliates ties to Canadian Network.
- Monitor critical E2E SC metrics that impact business outcomes and orchestrate crisis management and/or issue resolution with appropriate SC core/regional resources.
- Review joint scorecards monthly with core Leaders to ensure predictable delivery against segment annual targets – Value Leadership, LCCs, Operational Excellence KPIs.
- Collaborate with Core Leaders towards the development of a robust VL pipeline and.
Enable segment growth and innovation strategies through regional supply network connectivity and Canadian cross-functional partnership:
- Provide leadership and coordination for cross-departmental/cross-functional SC related projects.
- Collaborate with peer SC segment leads to develop and implement standard processes across regional SC and within Canada.
- Create specific strategy and project charters to be handed off to PMs or functional resources for detailed vetting and execution.
- Quarterback the SC resources and represent the E2E SC in all business meetings – S&OP and feeders.
- Ensure adequate resources to support segment objectives including SC and Innovation initiatives.
- Partner with cross-functional partners to drive portfolio optimization and complexity reduction delivery of VL Targets Partner with cross-functional partners to drive portfolio optimization and complexity reduction.
