Job Description

Job Description:

The Data Analytics Manager plays a central role in Global Digital Operations (GDO), accountable for end-to-end data-driven insights regarding Application Portfolio Management (APM), Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and software Usage Control. The role ensures strong data governance, accurate reporting, and clear visibility of the application landscape and its associated costs, enabling informed decision-making across Mars Digital Technologies.

This role partners closely with Enterprise Architecture, Service, and Finance leaders to manage application lifecycles, monitor software adoption, and optimize TCO. It provides transparency on portfolio health, identifies redundancies and rationalization opportunities, and supports investment prioritization and cost-saving initiatives through advanced data analytics.

Success in this role is defined by trusted data models, predictable application lifecycle management, actionable usage insights, and clear communication with stakeholders. The role combines hands-on data analytics, strong business acumen, and effective collaboration in a global, technology-driven environment.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) & Value Optimization

  • Collaborate with Finance and IT leads to aggregate and analyze comprehensive TCO data.

  • Support annual and ad-hoc budgeting by providing accurate application cost forecasts.

  • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and financial risks in software spend versus value delivered.

  • Track and report on cost-saving initiatives related to application decommissioning or contract optimization.

Usage Control & Analytics

  • Develop dashboards and data models to track software adoption and usage trends over time.

  • Measure and report the effectiveness and active usage of deployed enterprise applications.

  • Partner with Service teams to harvest unused licenses and right-size vendor agreements.

  • Establish data governance and controls around how application usage is measured.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Partner closely with Enterprise Architecture, Service Leads, Finance Leads, and Budget Managers.

  • Communicate analytical insights, risks, and portfolio trends clearly and proactively.

  • Act as a reliable point of contact for all APM, TCO, and Usage data queries.

  • Support leadership decision-making with objective facts and data-modeled scenarios.

Ways of Working & Execution

  • Strong hands-on execution with data analytics, visualization, and APM tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, ServiceNow).

  • Close attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Comfortable working in a global, matrix environment.

  • Continuous improvement mindset for analytical processes and reporting automation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field.

  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills.

  • Solid knowledge of data analytics, APM (Application Portfolio Management), and IT performance metrics.

  • Experience building and analyzing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models for IT products.

  • Strong analytical skills, organizational abilities, and problem-solving aptitude.

  • Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and deliver data-driven responsibilities in a timely manner.

  • Ability to interact effectively with multiple functional areas and management levels.

  • Hands-on ability to work with BI/Analytics tools and APM/ITSM systems (e.g., ServiceNow).

  • Good understanding of IT technology landscapes and software usage tracking.

  • Agility to work in a global, matrix team environment.
