Connected Commerce Business Development Manager
Job Purpose
C-commerce is a key growth channel for Mars Pet Nutrition SEA; Thailand contributes about half of SEA C-Com business and is projected to be growing 40-50% year on year. This new addition is to equip Mars Pet Nutrition Thailand with the ability to expand distribution into more marketplace platforms and new business models like direct to consumer in Thailand.
What You’ll Do
- Contribute to the overall achievement of Mars Southeast Asia and Mars Thailand Pet Nutrition Connected Commerce growth and profitability.
- Develop customer strategy and joint business plans in accordance corporate and brand strategies.
- To deliver excellence in supply, operations, perfect digital activation, perfect digital store and category leadership, to grow ahead of the petfood category.
- Negotiate but build strategic and mutual partnership with customers, e-distributors and agency partners for sustainable growth and healthy financial shape.
- Discipline use of data analytics and financial modelling to make fact-based choices.
- Expand distribution via new e-commerce platforms, distribution canters expansion and new business model like direct to consumer.
- Maintain healthy portfolio and pricing according to shopper and channel needs & trend.
- Collaborate with cross functional team for the right level of support to deliver short to long term objective.
- Work closely with SEA and Global C-Com Community to learn and share insights/experience for continuous capabilities building and performance improvement.
Context and Scope
This role is responsible to accelerate the connected commerce business of Mars Pet Nutrition Thailand and to keep up with the fast-moving digital commerce landscape by:
- Taking lead from Thailand CCOM CDM to ensure cohesive key account and distributor management is achieved by driving multiple customers and e-distributors toward achieving the overall digital commerce objective of Thailand.
- Working closely with SEA Connected Commerce Director to pilot and build new business model like Direct To Consumer in Thailand,
- Being an individual contributor, the Thailand Digital Commerce CDM needs to engage and collaborate very closely with various parties from internal (cross functional team, SEA and Global Digital Commerce community) and external (e-distributors, agencies etc.) to have a 2-way relationship in gaining support and guidance for continuous improvement.
