We have a Warehouse Management System (WMS) Superuser role at our East Midlands Gateway site, we have roles to cover three shifts of 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm and a night shift of 10pm-6am.

The WMS Superuser is responsible for the smooth operation of the warehouse processes. The role involves maintaining, streamlining, and enhancing the Warehouse Management System (WMS) including the training out of new processes. This role demands a high level of technical acumen, problem solving skills, and an understanding of warehouse operations. The WMS superuser is the onsite specialist and go to person for WMS related issues, both systemic and operationally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the WMS, ensuring its optimal performance.
  • Functional support for the Operations teams
  • Diagnose and resolve issues
  • Analyse system data to improve warehouse efficiency and productivity.
  • Provide training to warehouse staff on WMS operations.
  • Look for process deviation and implement corrective actions
  • Support the resolution of any system issues promptly, working with the central IT team
  • Work closely with IT and warehouse teams to implement new system features.
  • Prepare regular reports on system performance and improvements.
  • Support User acceptance testing for all new WMS implementation
  • Work with the training teams to Create process flows and systemic work instructions/S.O.P.s
  • Communicate with internal and external customers including attending weekly and adhoc meetings
  • Any other duties deemed necessary to fulfil the role

Skills and Experience

  • IT skills / Excel / PowerPoint / Word
  • Analytical approach
  • Ability to manage change with multiple stakeholders internally and externally
  • Developing and delivery of recommendations
  • Proven experience (min 3 years) with WMS or similar systems
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent knowledge of warehouse operations and processes
  • Ability to train and support users in a system environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
