POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Tax Specialist to support finance controlling functions. This role combines responsibilities in both tax compliance and accounts payable controlling, and is critical to ensuring accurate tax reporting, timely vendor payments, and strong internal controls across financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Tax Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation, review, and submission of tax returns (VAT, WHT, CIT).
  • Maintain supporting documentation and perform reconciliations for tax filings.
  • Assist with tax audits and respond to queries from tax authorities.
  • Monitor changes in local tax regulations and ensure full compliance.
  • Support regional and global tax reporting requirements and other initiatives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to other functions within the organization on tax-related matters.

2. Process Improvement & Internal Controls

  • Coordinate with the PTP team and oversee end-to-end accounts payable processes, including invoice validation, filing, and posting.
  • Ensure timely vendor payments and resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding items with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline tax and AP processes.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Support other compliance-related tasks involving relevant authorities.

Critical Competencies

  • Minimum 03 years' professional working experience in tax and/or accounts payable role(s).
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field(s).
  • Experience in logistics industry is a plus.
  • Language proficiency: Fluent level of English, Native level of Khmer.
  • Solid understanding of Cambodian tax regulations.
  • Strong experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Good communication skill.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
